September is Life Insurance Awareness Month The WPA is joining hundreds of the nation's leading insurance companies and other industry groups in promoting the importance of life insurance during Life Insurance Awareness Month this September. It's estimated that about 68 million Americans have no life insurance, and that many of those that are insured do not own enough coverage to meet their and their survivors' needs. Now is the perfect time to review your needs and your current coverage and to make any changes or additions necessary. If someone would suffer financially when you die, then you need life insurance. But how much would you need? For a quick estimate, check out the insurance needs calculator at www.lifehappens.org/hoivmuch. But, for a thorough analysis of your needs, meet with a qualified insurance professional. Call your local WPA representative or our Home Office at 1-800-848-7366. An Open Letter to All Past Scholarship Recipients Dear Recipients: We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you as a past recipient of our scholarship grant program. Your scholarship was made possible by your parents and/or grandparents who had the foresight to know that this was one of the many fraternal benefits offered with your life insurance membership in the William Penn Association. Since the inception of our scholarship program in 1972, 4,497 scholarship grants have been distributed amounting to a total of $ 1,889,150. We would like to request from you a photo and a brief biographical outline of your accomplishments since your graduation from college. This would appear in our monthly publication, William Penn Life, and would serve as an inspiration to those seeking financial assistance through our scholarship program. It would illustrate to future applicants that dedication and devotion set the goals for their college years and beyond. As you have benefited from our financial assistance, it is our hope and prayer that you will help your fellow members receive scholarship grants and follow in your footsteps to success. All donations may be made to the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. This is a tax deductible donation under Section 501 [c] [3] of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
