Charitable Ideas William Penn Association is a proud sponsor of Kidz Bowling for Kidz Come join us for our 2nd Annual Kidz Bowling for Kidz with the Fraternal Societies of Greater Pittsburgh (FSGP) benefiting the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. The event will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2008, at the Princess Lanes in Whitehall, PA. Activities and registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. We plan to have activities for the kids prior to bowling. All bowlers must be registered by 12:30 p.m., with bowling starting at 1:00 p.m. The event is open to all children ages 6 to 18. All bowlers will roll a three-game series, except children ages 6 to 7 who will bowl only two games. All Children will be treated to food, prizes, and a commemorative T-shirt. There is no cost to enter the tournament, however, each child must have a minimum of $25 sponsorships or promised sponsorships prior to entering. The bowler who collects the most donations will receive a prize. This event was developed to bring young members from all our fraternal organizations together for an event to raise money for other children, with donations going to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Established in 1943, the Fraternal Societies of Greater Pittsburgh is made up of more than 20 fraternal benefit societies representing more than 1 million members. Approximately 11 of the societies have their national headquarters in the Greater Pittsburgh / Western Pennsylvania area.
