Branch News Branch 8 Johnstown, PA by Dorothy Kedves We held our branch Christmas party and election of officers. Elected to serve our branch in 2005 were: Sándor Yuhas, president; Ernest Kedves, vice president; David Kozak, treasurer; Dorothy Kedves, secretary; and Mary Ann Groshans and Elaine Engle, auditors. All were sworn in and will abide by the by-laws. The party was a big success. The children were delighted to see Santa and sit on his lap while they requested all their wishes. Santa always holds the coloring book contest, and the children get so excited and want to win. Of course, they are all winners. The stockings that the Home Office provided were really appreciated, and the grown ups always look forward to all the other goodies. The food was delicious, as usual. Hungarian and Christmas music was provided by Ernest Kedves. For all your life insurance and annuity needs, please contact Sándor Yuhas at 814-255-1123. We wish everyone a healthy and happy new year. God bless everyone. Eighty-nine adults and 12 children attended the celebration and enjoyed a feast of cabbage rolls, kolbaszi, pork and sauerkraut and other ethnic holiday foods. Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped in to greet all the children, listen to their Christmas wishes and give them each a gift bag provided by the WPA. In addition, Membership Activities Manager Endre Csornán and his wife Arlene stopped by to help us celebrate. After dinner, everyone danced to music provided by Joe Jeromos. Special thanks to Dorothy and Alex Vargo, Teresa and Nick Toth and Andy and Susie Suták for helping to make this celebration a success.
