Branch 15 Chicago, IL by Eva Laczina-Voris On Dec. 21, Branch 15 held its annual Christmas party, together with our parish at St. Stephen King of Hungary Church. Adults and children alike were able to honor and celebrate one of our most beloved holidays. After Mass, everyone gathered in our church hall and shortly after were treated to a fabulous presentation by members of our church about Joseph and Mary's journey to Bethlehem and the birth of Christ. After the production, a light lunch of small Erdély stuffed cabbage rolls, franks, potato salad and homemade pastries awaited everyone. Shortly after that, the children were delighted by the arrival of St. Nicholas, who cheerfully handed gifts to all the boys and girls. Everyone stayed a little longer to chat and enjoy the company of family members and old friends. We would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who helped to make this year's event another success. To all, we wish a very blessed, healthy, happy and successful new year. Branch 18 Lincoln Park, MI by Barbara A. House Happy Valentine's Day to all. Hope you have a special sweetie to share the day with. Well, winter has arrived in Michigan with a vengeance. I have already experienced two big storms. That's enough. Remember: my phone number in Florida is 321-676-2194. My cell number is 313-418-5572.1 will receive my Michigan messages daily at 313-383-4472. Congratulations to Rudy Korpák on 44 years of sobriety. He is a daily meeting member of AA. Hardly ever a miss. That's surely something to be proud of, just as we are of you. Love you, Rudy. We held our election in conjunction with a Christmas party for all our members who faithfully attend meetings. The results were: Barbara A. House, president; Helen Molnár, vice president; Carol Truesdell, treasurer; Rose P. Antal, secretary; and Ernie Mayoros, Douglas Truesdell and Tom House, auditors. This has proven over the years to be a highly-productive team of officers. Thank you for your support. Bela Imry did the swearing in ceremony with much aplomb. Thank you to Genevieve Molnár, Mary Balaythy, Grace Balaythy (super kalacs), Joanne Mayoros (great bread) and Ann and Bill Sorke (love). You are all super people and much loved. Get well wishes to Mike Wansa, Bela Imry, Liz Piwawarski, Mary Duzy, LaVeme Exner, Irene Korpák, Rocky and Emma Borsa, Julius Bubenko, Frank Rizzo, A1 Wansa and Ann Sorke. We send you lots of prayers, love and best wishes. Thanks, Gerry Davenport, for always going above and beyond the call. William Penn Life, February 2005 15
