deceased members in your prayers, especially the family of Anne Zynel. Get well wishes to Liz Piwowarski, Joanne Mayoros and Bob Kovács. Happy anniversary to A1 and Olga Wansa (celebrating 64 years together), Helen and András Breznai and last, but surely not least, Rudy and Irene Korpák. I love you guys. Boy, do I have some bowling news for you. Jim Schepens was over here conducting some business, and he told me some wonderful news. You may remember that a few years ago, Jim bowled a 297 at the Annual Bowling Tournament. Well, he finally did it. He rolled not only one 300 game, but two...back-to-back! Can you even imagine that? I sure can't. Jim ended up with an 821 series. He is now wearing two gorgeous new rings. I sure hope he can do that next year when the bowling tournament will be in Michigan. Congratulations, Jim. We are very proud of you. It was nice talking to member Albert Balogh in Jensen Beach, Fla. The Balogh family sold property to the Hungarian American Cultural Center in Taylor, Mich., many years ago. The center is still going strong. Dinner is served there every Friday night and on the first Sunday of each month. Remember: If we don't support groups like the center, then they will cease to be. Speaking of support, Holy Cross Catholic Church would appreciate your support by attending its annual Hungarian festival at the Yack center in Wyandotte June 5 and 6. Please get over there and spend a dollar or two. Congratulations to Lori and Gary Gross on the birth of their first child, Jacob Gary Gross, on April 23 at 7:30 p.m. Grandparents Emma and Rocky Borsa were flying so high when they called us with the good news that evening. It couldn't happen to a more deserving family. Jacob will be our youngest member. We love you a lot. Congratulations also to Alicia Breznai on being nominated as an USAA National English Award winner. This award pays tribute to Alicia's commitment to academic excellence. Congratulations, Alicia, on your hard work and perseverance. Alicia is a special Branch 18 member. She has never turned me down when I've asked her to volunteer. Another young member I am particularly proud of is Michael Oberg. Michael is being considered for an internship at the Department of Justice. As you can see, Branch 18 will be well taken care of in the future with members like these. I love you both very much. Remember to hug a vet and say thank you. Freedom is not free. Call me if I can help you with any of your insurance or annuity questions. My number is 313-383-4472. __I" Branch News] Branch 28 Youngstown, OH by Kathy Novak Once again a wonderful weekend of fellowship, fraternalism and activities was held over the Memorial Day weekend in Cleveland, Ohio. Branch 129 Columbus, OH ——M- 1 — - - -: - -L -2 __ -JrC--iL 2 — by Árpád Sibrik Spring is getting here. We have had rain just about every other day, and the grass keeps growing. We have to cut it at least twice a week. We had our latest branch meeting on March 10. Everyone was pleased with the Christmas party and the facility it was held in. We hope to be able to get the same place for this year's party. Get well wishes go out to our members experiencing health problems.
