Condolences to the family of Albert Stelkovics, who passed away July 1 in Delray Beach, Fla. Congratulations to National Director Michael F. Tomcsak on his election as first vice president of the Florida Fraternal Insurance Counselors during their convention held in May at Cocoa Beach, Fla. He previously served as president of the Florida Fraternal Congress. It was great seeing Bill and Caroline Mayor at the golf tournament. Caroline has the nicest smile; she's like a ray of sunshine. Our branch officers are preparing for our branch picnic, celebrating the 115thanniversary of theWPA, tobe held Oct. 10 in Cape Coral. Branch 800 Altoona, PA by Vincent Frank Labor Day is Sept. 3. It is the last summer holiday. It is a time when summer vacations and cookouts will be winding down. We hope you all have a great day. Branch 800 meetings will be starting again after a nice three-month recess. We will meet Sept. 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the social hall of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Altoona. All members are invited and encouraged to attend your branch meetings and help plan our affairs for the remainder of the year. Don't forget your fellow members who are ill.
