May your generosity be abundantly rewarded by God. Andocs, located in Transdanubia, is one of western Hungary’s pearls. Unfortunately, since of the outbreak of World War II, it has had to fight for survival. Plans made in 1945 after the war remained only plans. At that time, the order operating the shrine was dissolved. Only one priest was left to tend the parish and all side buildings were literally taken away. Andocs is Balaton’s place of pilgrimage. To preserve it, we have to make up for 50 years of neglect. We want to do everything necessary so that this place may live up to its vocation even at the threshold of the third millennium. In the first year of our plan, the renovation of the parsonage took IF YOU’VE BEEN WANTING TO TELL US WHERE TO GO, HERE’S YOUR CHANCE. The William Penn would like to plan one or more short bus trips to various points of interest in the United States and Canada. But, to do this, we need your help. We want you to tell us where to go — or, rather, where you would like us to go. If enough of your fellow members tell us to go to the same place, we’ll arrange a trip to take you there for the lowest possible price. Just write the number of people in your family that would seriously consider joining a trip to one or more of the destinations listed below. Please give us your complete name, address and phone number so we can contact you if the trips you’re interested in are selected. Now, there are almost three acres of beautiful land which is full of natural resources but is completely neglected. Our church is Somogy County’s most valuable historical building, parts of which are 250 to 500 years old. It would require many years of hard work to restore it to its original beauty. At this time I do not even think of repairing the church since the surroundings must meet today’s requirements for a place of pilgrimage. Your donation was a great help. It is so good to know that, in the two years I have been at Andocs, I have received enough help to ensure the work continues. I extend a cordial invitation to all of you to visit when you are in Hungary. God bless you all, from the Shrine of the Virgin Mother. Imre Szabó Andocs Nagyon köszönöm az 1.000 dolláros adományát, melyet Bognár Béla barátom közvetítésével küldött az andocsi kegyhelynek. Szeretettel köszöntőm - ismeretlenül is - családját. A jó Isten fizesse meg bőségesen nagylelkűségét. Andocs a Dunántúl, vagyis Nyugatmagyarország egyik gyöngyszeme. Sajnos a második világháború kitörésé óta a saját létéért küzdött. Andocs a Balaton bucsujáróhelye. évezred küszöbén is megfeleljen több évszázados hivatásának. A Szűz Anya kegyhelyen a jó Isten bőséges áldását kérem Mindnyájukra. Szabó Imre Andocs Welcome To Our Fraternal Family We happily present more of our newest William Penn members.
