Get well cards were sent to them by Secretary Louise wishing with God’s speed get well wishes from the Ladies Auxiliary. On June 23rd a dinner was held at the Social Club honoring the 50 Year Members of William Penn Branch 18. A very good dinner was prepared by Mr. Stephen Szatmári and wife Darlene. Ladies Auxiliary congratulated the President of Branch 18, Mr. Stephen Danko, who received his award for 50 year membership in the William Penn. Also, President Danko introduced all the officers of Branch 18, and from the Ladies Auxiliary, President Kender, Secretary Louise Vespremi, and Auditor Mary Boka, who attended the dinner. Also had the pleasure of meeting the National President from Pittsburgh, Mr. Sabo. Nice compliments were given for a fine job the Ladies Auxiliary are doing. Our last summer meeting was held in June. Many of the ladies will be going on trips. President Kender wished everyone a safe and happy one hoping we will meet again in September. Secretary Louise will be reporting in the next issue where the ladies have been traveling and please don’t eat too much fried bacon and kolbász. If any ladies wish to join into our fellowship please come on the third Monday of the month. Meetings are held at the Social Club. We have a wonderful group and would like to see new members. On behalf of the officers to all of our members, keep a smile on your face for the summer. May God Bless You and Keep You When We Are Absent One From Another. Emri Branch 22 Manager 183 Kinsman Road Florence, N.J. 08518 Branch 51 Passaic, N.J. Our most happy congratulations to Branch 51 President and Mrs. Arthur Barillo on their 25th Wedding Anniversary. They renewed their wedding vows at St. Stephen’s R.C. Magyar Church, Passaic, N.J. on June 17th. The services were conducted by the Rev. Bela Torok, pastor of the church. Afterwards a surprise dinner, given by their four lovely children, was held at The American-Hungarian Citizens Club in Garfield. On June 10th our branch attended a dinner-dance at the Franklin Park Inn, Franklin Park, N.J., to honor those from New Jersey who were elected to serve as leaders in the William Penn Association in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Home Office was well represented at the affair. It was good to see so many of our fraternal brothers and sisters having an enjoyable time. The food and music was excellent. An early reminder to all our branch members. Keep December 2, 1984 open on your calendar. On that date we will have our Annual Family Christmas Party at The American-Hungarian Citizens Club, 21 New Schley St., Garfield, N.J. at 3 P.M. PROMPT. So bring your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. All are welcome. Also on the same day, our Annual Election of Officers for Branch 51 for 1985 will be held at 2 P.M. Please make every effort to attend. An enjoyable afternoon will be had by all. Ernest Mozer 25
