Branch 13 Trenton, N.J. We can reminisce joyfully over our 41st National Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days in Columbus, Ohio. National Directors Albert Kertesz and Steve Ivancso and the committees are to be commended for a most enjoyable weekend. Congratulations to the bowlers who were recipients of prizes and all those who bowled and contributed to make the bowling tournament a success. Remember the date in 1985 — the National Bowling Tournament will be held in New Brunswick, N.J. Director Frank J. Radvany presented a check for $100.00 on behalf of Branch 13 to the William Penn Scholarship Foundation at the annual scholarship meeting held on Friday night at the Hyatt. Branch 13 was the first to initiate annual donations to the William Penn Scholarship Foundation whereby our youth could further their education and attend higher institutions of learning. Congratulations to the graduates who have with dedication and perseverance recently graduated from educational institutions. Your hard work and study have just begun to bear fruit; may your future be bright in God’s care. On June 10, 1984 the New Jersey Branches honored our New Jersey National Directors; Frank J. Radvany, Zoltán Emri and Joseph Arvay, and National Auditor Michael Hrabar at the Franklin Park Inn, Franklin Park, N.J. Illustrious citations were also presented to the officers of the New Jersey Branches who have worked diligently for many consecutive years. There were three officers from Branch 13 who were presented illustrious citations, namely, Elsie H. Radvany, Anthony C. Beke and Joseph Hamari. Branch 13 would like to thank National President John Sabo, Vice- President Stephen Lang, National Secretary Gus G. Nagy, Vice-President of Planning and General Counsel Gay B. Banes, and Advisory Board Members Michael Hegedűs and his wife Barbara, and Frank Bero and his wife Julia, for attending our affair. For servicing of your insurance needs contact Elsie H. St. George is now complete. The Administrative staff from our Home Office inspected the completed work on July 11, 1984 and all were quite pleased with the results. The renovations were supervised by John F. Kenawell, Executive Vice President. The general contractor was "Unique Walls & Ceilings" of Wellsburg, West Virginia. At the time our Society purchased Mt. St. George in 1922, the area now occupied by our chapel was an indoor swimming pool within the original mansion. The chapel was last renovated approximately 15 years ago, at which time the interior was completely painted. Fr. Frederick Becker, OFM, Cap., is our resident chaplain and has served his parish at Mt. St. George since March 1, 1 947. The chapel is cared for by our Sisters from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. St. M. Bernhilda, MSC, plays the chapel organ. Those who have the opportunity to visit Mt. St. George will enjoy the quaintness of the chapel and will see the unique stained glass windows as well as the beautiful statues and stations. If you are unable to visit our facilities you may participate in the sanctity of our chapel by having a mass said by Fr. Becker or a candle lit on the altar for your special intentions. The chapel serves the residents of Mt. St. George with daily masses, as well as funeral services and special weddings and baptisms. Branch 76 Philadelphia, Pa. With the 41st National Bowling Tournament held in Columbus, Ohio another pleasant and memorable event took place for those participating. No doubt, knowing the group at Branch 129, they rolled out the welcome mat, which meant a grand time was held by all. There was an affair held by the New Jersey area branches on Sunday, June 10, in recognition, to honor the many deserving and dedicated officers and members from their branches. It was held at Franklin Park Inn. All indications proved the turnout exceeded all expectations. A good omen for planning functions in the future, congratulations. On the local front, recently, we had the privilege of attending a surprise 25th Wedding Anniversary for our son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Estelle, held in Emporium, Pa. To climax the happy event, the evening before the affair, our grandson Steve and his wife Tracy became the parents of a bouncing baby boy, Justin Keith, 8 lbs, 9 oz. It was a truly happy occasion for all the family and the many friends attending. The Grand Climax for us, of course, was in becoming Great Grandparents. We thank them for the honor. The Philadelphia and Hungarian area community was shocked with the recent and sudden passing of a 26
