Annual Conference of District Chairmen The Annual Conference of District Chairmen was held' at Mt. St. George, Wellsburg, West Virginia on January 20, 21, and 22, 1984. Various leaders from throughout our Society were greeted by several Na­tional Officers and Board Members. The conference was co-chaired and conducted by Executive Vice Presi­dent, John F. Kenawell and retired Supreme Vice President of the Catholic Knights of St. George, Peter C. Kuhn. The weekend activities included: Remarks and open discussion with Chairman of the Board, Stephen G. Danko; introductions to the William Penn Association insurance policies by National Sales Director, Ron Abels, and Agency Manager, Dan Wahl; a discussion of the Merger, and William Penn Association in­terest in Mt. St. George was held with Gay B. Banes, General Counsel, and William Kohut, Director; a report on the Knights of St. George Home was given by Nartz Gajewski, Home Administrator. A special questionnaire on family life was completed by the con­ference participants. Richard Fitz­patrick, Psychologist, then analyzed the results and held an open discus­sion on what is happening to the John F. Kenawell, left, thanks Lou Fodor for his participation over the weekend. American Family. Lou Fodor, Auditor, participated throughout the weekend and took pictures of various conference activities. Reports on special fraternal ac­tivities were given by: Norbert Clair, Allegheny East District Chairman, who reported on Branch 8222's work with St. Joseph's Home in Pittsburgh. They have raised $ 30,000 over the past 5 years and completed thousands of volunteer hours. Joseph Schmidt, Pittsburgh District Chairman, reported on Branch 19's close working relation­ship with other parish organizations at St. Bonaface's Church, and what you can accomplish through cooperating. Terry Tishner, Baltimore District Chairman, showed what a broad range of activities can be conducted by a District if you gain the coopera­tion of the Branches.
