Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Associa­tion Scholarship Foundation, Inc., Fri­day, May 28, 1982 at Bond Court Hotel, Cleveland, Ohio. 1) The meeting is called to order by Mr. Elmer Charles, President at 6:10 P.M. President welcomes the members to the meeting, and expresses sincere appreciation to all who have so faithfully supported this great fraternal activity of the William Penn Associa­tion. 2) Roll is called by Mr. Gus G. Nagy, Secretary-Treasurer and the following are present: Emma Beganyi, James Beganyi, Gay Banes, Helen Banes, Frank Bero, Julie Bero, Elmer Charles, Marie Charles, Julia Danko, Stephen Danko, Zoltán B. Emri, Ethel Fodor, Louis A. Fodor, Charles Fa­bian, Alex Goydan, Ann Hrabar, Michael Hrabar, Michael Hegedűs, Mary Huthansel, Michael Kara, Ann Kertesz, Albert G. The Secretary informs the Chair that a quorum is present. 3) Secretary reads the Minutes of the Annual Meeting held in Chicago, Illinois, May 22, 1981. Minutes are ac­cepted as read. 4) Secretary reads the Minutes of the Executive Committee meeting held in the Home Office, Pittsburgh, Pa., July 31, 1981. These Minutes are ac­cepted. 5) Treasurer, Gus G. Nagy, reads the Financial Report for the year 1982. The members are pleased to learn that there is available $19,170.33 in Invest­ment Income for Scholarship grants in the 1982/83 academic year. It is moved and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s Report, copy of which is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. 6) President Charles extends to the members greetings from Vice President John P. Balia, who cannot be present because of his confinement to a hospital. Mr. Balia sends a message to all branches requesting them to con­tinue to support the Scholarship Foun­dation. 7) Mr. Gay B. Banes, General Counsel, moves and Director Stelko­vics seconds and is unanimously adopted that the Scholarship Founda­tion Awards Committee provide an ad­ditional $200.00 Scholarship Grant, over and above the regular grant to that scholar who has the most out­standing scholastic record. 8) Director Kohut moves and Auditor Kara seconds that the Awards Committee give an extra $200.00 scholarship grant to that scholar who is majoring in insurance. 9) Mr. Louis L. Varga, Vice Presi­dent, proposes that the Executive Committee create a Board of Associate members consisting of those who con­tribute a minimum of $1,000.00 to the Scholarship Foundation. These Associates then are to be lifetime members of the WPFASF, Inc. and a certificate be awarded to them. After some discussion, Mr. Varga moves and Director Danko seconds that the Board of Associates be established, and all of those, who contribute a minimum of $1,000.00, which can be paid in over a 4 year period, shall be Lifetime Scholarship Foundation members. The $1,000.00 donation entitles husband and wife to lifetime membership. 10) Upon the adoption of this mo­tion, the following signify their inten­$239,145.36 FINANCIAL STATEMENT William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc.
