The biggest event of the day was the arrival of Santa Claus. Our thanks to all who helped with the preparations, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hrabar, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Mészáros, Mr. and Mrs. George Mirkovich, Mr. Sabo and Annette Hrabar. On December 22, 1981, we elected the following officers for 1982: Michael Hrabar, President; Mary Mészáros, Vice President; Steve Mészáros, Secretary-Treasurer; Ann Hrabar, Auditor; Annette Hrabar, Auditor; Michaelene Mirkovich, Reporter. On Sunday, October 25th, 1981 a Committee of Organizations and Churches of Central Jersey sponsored a Commemoration celebration in New Brunswick “In Memóriám of the 25th Anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution”. A program was conducted after which a plaque was unveiled and dedicated on the corner of Plum and Somerset Streets in New Brunswick, N.J. called Mindszenthy Square. Branch 19 Christmas Party. Officers of Branch 19 and Michael Hegedűs. Director singing carols. The Annual Christmas Party was held at the Bayard Street Presbyterian Church Hall on Saturday afternoon, December 5th, 1981. Joseph Arvay, Branch President welcomed the guests and then introduced Michael Hegedűs, National Director who greeted everyone and extended Season’s Greetings from Branch 19 and the Home Office. The entertainment by the clownmagician was greatly enjoyed by all, after which the singing of Christmas Carols was accompanied on the accordion by member Helen Nemeth. Then Santa arrived and presented gifts and goodies to the children. A delicious buffet of food and refreshments was enjoyed by one and all. Music for our listening pleasure was also supplied by member John Gurkovich.
