Stypa Branch 1 8 Detroit, Michigan At this writing, most of you are all planning for an eventful and fruitful bowling tournament to be held in Dayton, Ohio. Hope to see many of our old friends in Dayton. Our Social Club held their Anniversary Dinner-Dance on Saturday, March 8th, with Joe Balint and his Orchestra playing for our listening and dancing pleasure. It was a real enjoyable and fun filled evening. Our talented young Hungarian dancers sponsored a successful card party on March 10th. On May 3rd the William Penn Dancers held their annual dinner dance at the Hungarian Reformed Church, Allen Road, Allen Park, Michigan. Music was furnished by Joe Balint’s orchestra and a very nice program was presented by our young dancers which was entitled “Falusi Huszar Vásár.” The wooden platter, once again was a complete sell out. Ann Lenny and Steve Szatmári did an excellent cuisine turnout. We understand from the dancers that their bake sale held on March 29th, was very profitable. Keep it up dancers, you are doing a terrific job in all your endeavors. The William Penn Branch 18 held a spring card party on April 28th. The Ladies Auxiliary is planning a card party on May 15th at the V.F.W. Hall—Montie and Fort St. Please patronize these ladies. They do a tremendous job for all of us in some way or another. We understand they will have plenty of nice door prizes, and most of all, a friendly atmosphere is presented by all these ladies to everyone. Plan on attending this affair and enjoy a wonderful evening with your friends. We understand, at this writing that Andy Toth is organizing a golf tournament on June 29th.
