Report of The National Auditing Committee To: National President, Elmer Charles The National Auditing Committee met at the Home Office, 429 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa., Monday, September 12 to Friday, September 16, 1977. Committee members present were: Emma L. Beganyi, Secretary Charles Fabian Louis A. Fodor Michael Hrabar Michael Kara Chairlady, Helen Nemeth is still recuperating from her recent illness. We wish her a speedy recovery so that she can be with us for the next audit. Our examination covered the period beginning January 1, 1977 to June 30, 1977. As members of the Auditing Com­mittee we certify that the following ex­amination was done. All disbursements for the six month period were carefully and thoroughly checked, all the cancelled checks to the vouchers and the computor runs. The Pension and Payroll accounts were examined and verified to re­quested bank verifications. Examination of the mortgages shows one delinquent mortgage. All the other mortgage loans are in good order and up to date. The Committee members went to the vault at Mellon Bank to examine the new investments purchased during the six month period under audit. The income and disbursements on all investment accounts were thoroughly examined and all verified to substan­tiating statements. Dividend, Sick Benefit and Dis­ability Accounts were checked and verified with the ledger controls. The Board of Directors and the Ex­ecutive Committee minutes were read by all the Committee members. At the close of audit the committee met with National President, Elmer Charles. He elaborated on the Scenic View project. The Committee as a whole feels this is a good and sensible investment for the future of the Association in that it will promote fraternalism as a family affair which is the theme of the Frater­nal Societies. The Committee wishes to extend their thanks to all the Home Office employees for their kind reception and consideration shown to them during their audit.
