We are sorry to report to the members of Branch 26, Sharon, Pa. that our esteemed President Mr. Steve Dobozi died in his home, Sunday, July 6, 1975. He had not been ill previously, therefore, his sudden death came as a shock to family and friends alike. Mr. Dobozi was born in Szadudvarnok, Abauj megye, Hungary, September 7, 1899 and came to the United States of America in 1921. Here he married Theresa Kish 48 years ago and from this union four children were bom. Stephen, Dr. William, Lillian Madden and Mary Coyle. He is survived by his widow, four children andisix grandchildren Gary, Judy and Bryan Dobozi, Dianne Tarcy, Kelley Maddenand Joy Coyle. Also a sister Mrs. Mary Migeleez here in America and a sister Mrs. Stephen Palincsak in Hungary. Mr. Dobozi was president of Branch 26 and served in various Branch offices for 50 years. In 1972 the Board of Directors awarded him the Illustrious Member citation. He also served the Branch many times as delegate to the Convention. His many friends paid last respect at the Madasz Funeral Home, Brookfield, Ohio, Church services were held Wednesday, July 9, 1975 from Sacred Heart Church, Sharon, Pa. 28 YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO Congratulations to delegates John Bunchy and Mary Tomcsak who will be attending the September Convention in Pittsburgh, Pa. They are ready to accept the burdens and responsibilities, in order to make this a successful Convention. Irene Nemeth is the Alternate Delegate. It was a privilege to have District Secretary Alex Buksar conduct the Election Meeting. Helen and John Kaluczky did a fine job assisting Mr. Buksar. Let’s not forget Steve Novak for his help. Officers and Delegates would like to express their sincere appreciation to all those branch members who took interest in attending the Election Meeting. We had a wonderful turnout. We have deep concern for the future of our Association and we would appreciate your cooperation to keep harmony and obtain unity in the future. Our meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 P.M. at Calvin Center on Mahoning Avenue. Margaret Bunchy has been back in the Hospital, but is much better again. We are pleased to report that Stacy Ann Hencz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Stacy Ann Hencz Hencz, Jr., has been awarded a 4 year Scholarship to Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa. Stacy will major in psychology. All of us wish her success in her chosen field. 76 PHILADELPHIA, PA. Our representative, at the recent National Fellowship Days — held in Chicago, 111. — Helen Schenkel, reports it was well attended — and a success. The committee must have done their job well being it was on short notice. Congratulations. Locally, we welcome our new President, Pete Wlosak, who will fill the Post for the rest of this year. We ask our members to help him by supporting all our branch functions. Our annual Dinner Dance will be held Saturday, November 15, 1975 at the Un. German Hungarian Club. Details will follow in the next edition. We are sorry to report the passing of two of our members of many years. Paul Csato and Julius Glatz. Mr. Csato was well known in local Hungarian Circles — as he took an active role in Civic and Fraternal Groups. Jules, as we all knew him, was one of our better bowlers — in the League sponsored by our Branch at the Old Dalarda. Our most sincere sympathy to the respective families. 10
