BANES FOR JUDGE OF COMMON PLEAS COURT (Continued from Page 1 ) In 1952 he resigned from the Board and was appointed General Counsel. He has been unanimously reappointed General Council of the Board every four years. Mr. Banes was one of the brilliant legal minds which brought about the successful merger of Verhovay-Rakoczi to form the WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION. Without a doubt General Counsel Banes, in Pennsylvania at least, is one of the most renowned fraternal insurance law experts. In more than 25 years he has served the taxpayers and property owners, the average citizen as a municipal solicitor in Township, Boroughs, School Boards and Authorities. He has appeared as Counsel in lawsuits in all of the Courts of Pennsylvania. He understands what Government does for its citizens. As a Solicitor and public spirited citizen he has been a leader in building our Communities to be better and safer places in which to live and work. He will bring dignity, firmness, knowledge and sense of fair play to the administration of the Justice in Allegheny County. NATIONAL BOWLING TOURNAMENT AND SCHOLARSHIP DAYS (Continued from Page 1 ) Memorial Day weekend fun fest. This year the host Branches are 14 and 15 East and West Side of Cleveland. Mr. William Kastan, President of Branch 14 as General Committee Chairman, promises that this year’s event will be tops. Mrs. Mary Karnya, Branch 14 Vice President and Banquet Chairman should be contacted at 2823 East 118th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44120 for banquet tickets. A truly delicious meal will be served and through the generosity of the WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION, tickets will be only $6.00 per person. We hope to see all of the Bowlers, Delegates to the Annual Scholarship meeting and many members from the Cleveland and surrounding area in attendance. We anticipate seeing many young people, students, in attendance also. Director Albert G. Kertesz, Tournament Administrator has promised to have a group of outstanding Continental Musicians from Cleveland to furnish music for the Dancing and also during the Dinner. The Headquarters Hotel is the Statler Hilton Hotel. Room reservation cards have been mailed to Bowlers and Branch Officrs. If any additional reservation cards are needed, please contact Mr. Gus G. Nagy, Field Manager (Central) at the Home Office. Bowlers should contact Ronald Karnya, Tournament Secretary in any matter pertaining to the Bowling Tournament. In conjunction with the May 26-27 festivities the First Annual Meeting of the Scholarship Foundation will be held in the Ohio Room of the Statler Hilton Hotel at 2:00 P. M., Saturday, May 26, 1973. We again wish to emphasize the wonderful opportunity each William Penn member and their friends have by participating in the Banquet, Saturday evening and joining in the Dance afterward. Dir. Kertesz and General Chairman Kastan both promise a really short, but very meaningful program during the evening.
