Congratulations to all, and continued success as officers of the William Penn. Chit-Chat: A new grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Noel - Cristina Ann Keryluk. Congratulations to both the proud parents and grandparents. Wedding anniversary wishes were ex­tended to Peter Lebesko and Anna Lebesko who had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a party given by their families - 5 children and 8 grand­children. May they be blessed with continued good health and happiness! The past few months we have missed a lot of birthdays, anniversaries, “good health” wishes for our friends, but I am sure that you all realize that we always have your best interests at heart. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lewis W eddings: Congratulations were in order for Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rosenfeld on their son’s recent marriage, and we all hope that their future will be filled with much happiness. Pictured are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lewis, the former Miss Julia Anne Melnick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Melnick longtime members of the William Penn. Their marriage took place February 13, 1971, after which the couple flew to Idaho where Mr. Lewis is stationed at an Army Air Force Base. May they always be as happy as on that eventful day. NOTICE: PICNIC TIME is here again! Summer is just around the comer and once again we are planning our annual picnic. Admission is $1.00 and NO CHARGE for children under 16 years of age. We hope to have games, good food, liquid refreshments, music to soothe all - thus we are anticipating a grand time! A graduate of the University of Dayton, Lou has worked with the highway depart­ment for 18 years. His wife Theresa and their five sons are all members of William Penn Branch 136. Mr. Louis Ágoston Sr. has managed this branch for 31 years. Our congratula­tions to the Agostons. 159 Phoenixville, Pa. Branch 159 congratulates Cadet Drew Vegso who has been a member of William Penn since birth. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Vegso, Phoenixville, Pa. Drew is a student at Valley Forge Military Academy and distinguished him­self by being a recipient of the Anthony Wayne Legion Award. Cadet Drew Vegso The Legion is composed of the most outstanding cadets in each rank category in The Corp of Cadets. Selection for mem­bership is based on military, academic and dicsiplinary merits. It is the Honor Society at the Academy. Our Branch bowling team is eagerly looking forward to the tournament in Pittsburgh. If there are any members we have over-looked and who would like to bowl with us in future tournaments please call your Branch Manager, Bill Kovach, 933-8391. Ann Markus, Reporter 189 Alliance, Ohio Our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Martin Magyaros Sr. and her family at the death of her husband Martin Magyaros. Mr. Magyaros was at one time Branch Manager of 189 Alliance, Ohio. Also to the Peter Chordash family at the death of Mrs. Chordash’s mother, Mrs. Katie Mate. Mrs. Katie Mate was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of William Penn. To Mr. Joseph Czakel who resides in Canton, Ohio, member of Branch 189, we send him our sympathy at the loss of his mother, Mrs. Stephen Czakel. Congratulations, to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Dugan at the birth of a daughter. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Dugan. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Korosy presented proud grandmother Mrs. Margaret Korosy with a beautiful grand­daughter. Mr. John Barany, Secretary Treasurer of the William Penn Athletic Club, ex­pressed great joy at the great turnout of members and friends at the “Las Vegas Nite” held last month at the William Penn Home. Approximately 200 social members enjoyed a swiss steak dinner served at our annual social dinner banquet. Dancing was enjoyed with the Tune Tones furnishing the music of yesteryear! The dinner dance of the Athletic Club of William Penn was a huge success. Wes Clark’s band furnished the music for the “tripping of the light fantastic.” Welcome to Lena Frederick, a new William Penn member and also a future William Penn bowler for the coming year. Branch 189 is starting to form a bowl­ing league. Anyone who is interested in bowling please call 821-5215. You must be a William Penn member. We here in Alliance are looking forward to going to Pittsburgh to the bowling tournament in May!
