God-fearing man, who believes firmly in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of man. We are grateful to Mr. Jeso for his many years of dedicated service and for the fact that he has trained his son, Louis to to take over the arduous duties of Branch Manager of an expanded and much larger Branch 150 which has come about as the result of the merger of several small area branches into Branch 150. Our fond wish is that Mr. Jeso be with us foi many more years in good health and good spirits. 189 Alliance, Ohio With sad hearts and profound sorrow Br. 189 Alliance, Ohio, grieves the unexpected death of James Sera, who served Br. 189 as Treasurer for 25 years, retiring in 1966. He served as honorary life member on the Board of Directors at the time of his death. Mr. Sera was a true and faithful worker of the William Penn. He will be greatly missed at our doings. On behalf of the Board of Directors and his many friends of Alliance, we extend our deepest sympathy to his bereaved wife, Julia, his son, John, and daughters Helen and Julieann and families. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Buzogány, members of Br. 189, announced their retirement from operating one of the last neighborhood grocery stores (Mike’s Warehouse) since 1929. Customers of Mike’s Warehouse will miss dealing with the warm and friendly Hungarian couple, who were so famous for making homemade sausage and sauer kraut! The Buzoganys took a month’s vacation. They visited San Bernardino, Rialto, California, Sun Valley, Arizona and Racine, Wisconsin. While in Rialto, they were welcomed with open arms by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Katona, sister of Mrs. Margaret Korosy and Mike Duruttya, Br. 189. While there, they visited many Hungarian families and also attended a festivity at the Hungarian Home. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Simo (Mr. Simo was formerly Br. There was an excellent turnout for our October meeting and we urge all members to make an attempt to attend our regular monthly meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month in United Church of Christ Social Hall, 130 Walter Lane, Springdale, Pa. It was particularly nice to greet several newcomers to the meeting, who formerly belonged to Branch 73 and 172, Leechburg, Pa. On Saturday, December 12, 1970 the Branch will sponsor a Dinner at which time Illustrious Citatons will be awarded to Frank Varga and John Gallo and also the 50 year members will be presented with the appropriate 50 year plaques. The Committee is now working on details and the membership will be further informed about the Dinner as plans progress, we hope to have a capacity house on that evening.
