1-2. füzet - Szalai Sándor-Bella Szabolcs: Az aszályos 2003. év

216 Szalai S. - Bella Sz. that the values indicating larger drought occurred in the end of this period. One may also recognise that there is higher fluctuation in the shorter periods, while trend like changes can be observed in the SPI index values of longer periods. The spatial variation of drought was analysed for the years 1952, 1992 and 2003. The maps (Figures 4-8) were prepared by spatially interpolating between the index values SPI. On the basis of these maps, corresponding to the growing season, one may state that the spatial structure of the large droughts differ from each other. One may conclude from this that different atmospheric processes had caused the various droughts.
