(рис. 1.) Территория простирается вдоль правого берега Дуная ниже Будапешта и занимает 12000 км 2; она весьма разнообразна по своим природным и водохозяйственным особенностям. Включает в себя большую часть Задунайского Среднегоря, два наибольших озера страны: Балатон и оз. Веленце, холмистые и равнинные территории. Все поверхностные воды территории стекают в Дунай. На территории расположены крупные объекты горнодобывающей промышленности, оказывающие большое влияние на водное хозяйство, особенно в отношении подземных вод. Сообщение перечисляет важнейшие работы IV-й пятилетки по отдельным отраслям водного хозяйства: по противопаводковой защите, по регулированию озер, в особености Балатона и оз. Веленце, по водным мелиорациям, по сельскохозяйственному водоснабжению (в том числе освещается работа и специальные вопросы оросительных систем Кишланг и „Левый берег реки Шио"), по водоснабжению и водоочистке промышленных предприятий. Разнообразные задачи придают уникальный характер и данному сообщению. Для лучшего обзора приводятся различные таблицы с наиболее важными водохозяйственными данными. * * * Activities at the Central Transdanuvia District Water Authority during the IY-tli Five Year I'lan period By K. Karászi The regional water managemenet agency denoted by the figure 4 in the general map of the country is the Central Transdanuvia District Water Authority (Fig. 1 ) the jurisdiction of which extends to the 12 000 sq.km large area situated on the right-hand side of the Danube, dowstream of Budapest, between the Danube and the Marcal River. The area with the most varied water management problems in the country comprises a large part of the Hungarian Central Range to the west of the Danube, the two largest lakes in the country, namely Lakes Balaton and "Velence further extensive plains and rolling terrain. The Danube is the recipient of all runoff water. The large mining operations in the area affect water management considerably, especially as regards the subsurface waters. The major water managemenet functions and activitie during the IV-th Five Year Plan period are described in succession under the following paragraphs: a) flood control, b) regulation of lakes, particularly lakes Balaton and Velence, and the related water management problems, c) reclamation-drainage, d) agricultural water management, with particulars on the work and special conditions of the irrigation sections of Balatonfö, Kisláng and on the left-hand side of the Sió Canal, e) the communal works of domestic water suppig and g) dev'lopment of water supply and waste water treatment at industrial plants. The wide variety of these problems lend special character to this paper. For this reason, besides listing in detail the requirements arising from the ramified nature of, and the manifold influences on, water management, the results are presented in a more comprehensive form by tabulating the data on the major water management activities. * * *
