van padozata, amin a 30 m3-es hengeres, I-gerendákon nyugvó acéltartály körbejárható. A torony a második világháború után kis hajlásszögű, gúla alakú bádogtetőt kapott.

1945-ig szélkerék segítségével emelték fel a vizet a tartályba, azonban a háborúban a szélkerék és maga a torony is súlyos károkat szenvedett. Miután a Zichy család uradalmát államosították, a kastélyba a helyi állami gazdaság központját telepítették be. Az állami gazdaság mind a kastély, mind a víztorony épületét felújította. Ekkor a kor szellemének megfelelően a szétlőtt szélkerék helyére vörös csillag került. A tornyot 1989 szeptemberében műemlékké nyilvánították.

Until 1945 water was pushed up into tank by a windmill. During the war the windmill and the tower itself were seriously damaged. The classicist style castle was built in the early 19th century, and was owned by the Zichy family. This castle, the surrounding English garden, and its hundreds of acres of fields were nationalised during the communist era and the castle became the center of the local state owned farm. The state renovated the castle and the water tower. In keeping with the spirit of that era, a red star replaced the wind-mill. The tower was declared a listed building in September, 1989.
