séveL, aki a kor vasúti víztornyaihoz hasonló, buzogány alakú, fényes agyagtégla törzsből és öntöttbeton tartályból álló háromszintes tornyot tervezett az alsó szinten négy, felül 12 kisebb ablakkal. A torony 1953-ban a város tulajdonába került, a vízmű működtette az 1970-es évekig. Ekkor üzemen kívül helyezték, gazdátlanul maradt, és a pusztulás fenyegette. 1982-ben városvédők egy csoportja Kiss Horváth Sándor vezetésével elhatározta, hogy megmenti a tetszetős építményt. 1999-ben kezdeményezésükre ipartörténeti műemlékké nyilvánították a tornyot, egy évvel később pedig állami pályázati támogatás révén felújították. A torony alsó szintjén és a kertben kiállítóhelyet alakítottak ki, ahol a vízellátás történetét bemutató kútmúzeum kapott helyet.

The tower had three levels and a cast concrete tank with four windows on the bottom level and twelve smaller windows on the top. In 1953 the tower became the property of the city council, and it was operated by the water works until the 1970's. After that it was put out of service and left without an owner. In 1982 a group of enthusiastic townspeople, led by Sándor Kiss Horváth, decided to save the impressive building.
