s. Shortly thereafter, in 1934 SLASTENENKO /12/ found a new species in the Dnyeper, naming it Gobio beling

i FANG belongs to the species Gobio albipinnatus LUKASCH, but as the Roumanian and Carpatho-Ukrainian populations deviate in several features from the geographically nearest albipinnatus beling

i SLASTENENKO from the river Dnyeper, these populations should be regarded as a well separable subspecies. When BANARESCU separated the two subspecies, he had no specimens for comparison from the Dnyeper and thus relied
