When the Board brings this resolution, at the same time they request the American Hungarian Federation to assume a similar attitude. 69.) The Board announces that they deem it necessary and desirable to retain contact with the Verhovay brothers serving our Country in the various military camps but especially in the many and scattered battlefields in all parts of the World and the accomplishment of this they think to carry-out In the form of camp letters if it can be done. 70. ) The Board orders the purchase of a service flag for the Home Office. 71. ) The Board decides that the Association should assemble the photographs of all our soldier members in an album. 72. ) Before the closing of the Board meeting, Joseph^ Szalay and James Siket greet Supreme President Joseph Darago cordially on the occasion of his “Name Day” and tender him the “Joseph Day” mail which contains the application forms of new members. Joseph Darago gives touching thanks for this gift, for to him it is the most welcome for it means the progress of our Association. He also expresses his thanks to those who planned the gift and thanks all for their good wishes.-------Verhovayak Lapja-------74.) Branch 475, people attended the Red Cross banquet and dance, which turned out to be a huge success. We bowled our last game of B»e season on March 15th. We received our money and honors at the Bowlers’ Banquet, held on March 25th. The Verhovay two ladies’ team bawled lit Kissners Alleys. We entered with a ten team league, with a 890 average; we did not have that when we entered, but the girls were unafraid. They bowled every Monday, their pretty brown uniforms, with the name — Verhovay, Br. 475. Mil. — printed boldly on the back of their uniform. The Word VERHOVAY was very Well known for what it stood for. After the banquet the girls, in K group, went to the Red Cross Quarters and donated blood for WEEK OF MARCH 1st.
