130 them not to take it amiss, for they may be convinced, that all members of our Church remember them with deepest gratitude. Let it be enough to say now that we rejoiced as much as they, when in 1889 on the 26-th of October our little Church was opened and the temporary services, which before we had held in the Hall of the Lutheran&~at Deák square, xwere begun here. We owe thanks to the authorities of the Lutheran Church for their generous aid. These events wich I have sketched here briefly, make, I think, clear, why we Unitarians have had to express our joy and thanks as a Church on the occasion of our millennial celebration. Our number is not great. Indeed we are hardly perceptible on this big territory of Hungary but, we wished to show a sign of life and work in our impetuously progressing city; we wished to make known our past and present history and at the same time give expression to our patriotic feelings. Whilst I do most heartily welcome all those, who were kind enough to take part in this conference, I pray you all to accept our grateful thanks for having proved your sympathy and love. I in <áte you who share with us these feelings, let us pray that our beloved Hungary may live and flmi-( rish for many thousand years to come. May our king live long and may our Unitarian Churches prosper under his rule aswell as also in other parts of the world and may the brothely love of all Unitarians herejis well in England, America and all over the world prove itself in good and useful works to the glory of God jmxL-te^ the benefit of men. tr. by S. Csifó.
