Many years and many experiences have provided you with a knowledge of life that most of us will never witness and this knowledge is immeasurable. I encourage you to continue your zeal for life and continue to reflect those ideals that have given you strength and encouragement through the years. I know that all your friends and family join with me to wish you well and God's Blessings for many years to come. HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY, MR. MALNASSY! One Century! It seldom happens that someone can say, “I lived through 100 years.” A fellow Hungarian, Mr. Louis Málnéssy, who resides at 705 East Selma in Tampa, Florida 33603, was congratulated by Bob Martinez, the Mayor of Tampa, on March 19, 1982, on his 100th birthday. Just think of it. The City of Tampa was organized in 1887 when Louis Málnássy was already 5 years old, and now the 95-year old city celebrates its 100-year old citizen! Mr. Málnássy is in the very best of health, and although he has spent more than three-quarters of a century in the United States, he speaks, reads and writes Hungarian with remarkable fluency. He is a graduate of an agricultural college, and he loves to reminisce about his youth when he was travelling through Hungary and Transylvania on study trips with his schoolmates. Send a postcard to Mr. Málnássy wishing him the best for this rare occasion. We wish him God’s blessing and, above all, good health. 100 ÉVES HONFITÁRSUNK MALNASSY LAJOS 100 éves! Tampa város polgármestere volt az elsők azok között, akik felköszöntették március 19-én Málnássy Lajos honfitársunkat a 100-ik születésnapja alkalmából. Gondoljuk csak meg, mikor ő született Kossuth Lajos még élt. és Ferenc Józsefnek még csaknem három évtizede volt hátra. Fiúméból hozták, — az akkor még magyar kikötőből, — a magyar kivándorlókat a gőzhajók ide Magyaramerikába. Mikor Málnássy Lajos ifjúsága delén ideérkezett a 20-ik század még gyermekcipőbe járt és itt élte át az első Világháborút, a szörnyű depressziót és a II. Világháborút és mind azt, ami azóta történt. Ma is jó egészségnek örvend. Egyetlen bánata, hogy szerető hitvese .jelenleg egy öregotlhonban gyógykezelés alatt áll csonttörés miatt és így otthon a családi házban nem ünnepelhették ezt a ritka évfordulót.
