Sctüritp J|tg;í)ltgí)tsí UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS During the months of September and October, the following programs are going to be held, along with the regularly scheduled programs. Residents and families will be able to review the weekly events posted on the bulletin board located near each Nursing Station and the Activity Room. Schedules in the newsletter are subject to change, due to scheduling of programs being done several months in advance. For your convenience, a monthly calendar and a monthly in-house newsletter are posted in each resident's room. Families are welcome to attend our activities. Additional calendars are available through the Activity Department. SEPTEMBER HIGHLIGHTS OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS September 2nd through the 8th: School Days, School Days, dear old golden rule days. Residents will have a chance to put on their thinking caps and participate in "Back to School Week". Join us for a variety of programs such as a Spelling Bee, Creative Writing, etc. The week will conclude with a Teacher's Tea honoring our residents who were former teachers. September 9th through the 15th: Join us for celebrating America's favorite sport "Football", especially those Pittsburgh Steelers! Throughout the week residents will have the opportunity to test their skills in games and share their knowledge of football. Watch for details. September 16th through the 22nd: The guys will enjoy sharing their knowledge during this week as we learn about the history of cars, from the Hudson to today's autos. September 23rd through the 29th: Join us in celebrating the kickoff of Fall. Residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of fall crafts and an outing to view the leaves. October 1st through the 6th: Residents will have the opportunity to visit the Far East during this week. Highlights will include a Chinese Luncheon, travel film and the oriental craft Origami. October 7th through the 13th: Join us in celebrating Octoberfest Week. Residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a German band along with some traditional German foods throughout the week. October 14th through the 20th: Join us for Out of this World Week. Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the planets and stars. We also will be taking a look at the UFO sighting in Kecksburg, PA which happened in 1965. The week will conclude with a UFO Party. A fun time to be enjoyed by all! October 21st through the 31st: Join us for Halloween Days. Residents will have the opportunity to participate in games, pumpkin carvings and Halloween crafts throughout the next ten days.
