" ~ Ted Hughes CHURCH SERVICES Every Sunday morning at nine-o'clock there is a service held in the Deck Room by Mrs. Florence Wood. This is a non-denominational service, and all are welcome to attend. THE COMING OF AUTUMN Welcome to September. This month's theme is "South to the Border". Some key things planned for the month are: 3rd Labor Day Celebration with live eni 6th Catholic Mass at 11:30 a.m. 7th Birthday Party 14th Cocktail Hour (theme Mexican) 17th Outing 24th Resident Council 28th Cocktail Hour WEATHER OR NOT Summer ends and Autumn begins at the Autumnal Equinox, on September 22 or 23 in the northern half of the world. September is one of the warmest months in the southern United States. States farther north have hot days during September, but nights are likely to be cool. September is harvest time for many crops. SEPTEMBER OCTOBER Mrs. Sara Campbell 2nd Mr. George Miller 4th Mr. Peter Messer 3rd Mrs. Irene Kovács 11th Mrs. Aline Hoffman 25th Mr. Samuel Off 19th Mrs. Lorna DelSorda 26th We also offer a Catholic Mass every first Thursday of the month, which is conducted by Father Joe from Holy Trinity. We also have a Bible Study with the Heritage United Methodist Ladies at ten o'clock in the morning every first Tuesday of the month, and all are welcome to attend. Donna and Floyd Neiderhiser also come every last Thursday at six thirty in the evening and share God's Word with us. Also, the Ligonier Baptist Youth Group comes one Wednesday a month to share God's Word with us and blesses us with some beautiful music as well. Lights of the Valley come once a month on Sunday afternoon, and Pastor Steven gives us a message to reflect on for the week. He brings some volunteers with him who help lead us in some good familiar hymns.
