actüutp Hígí)ltgí)tŐ JULY HIGHLIGHTS Sunday, 2nd: A Lawrence Welk marathon will be held from 2:30 to 4:0 p.m. today. Come watch some of your old favorites. Monday, 3rd: A cookout will be held at 12:00 Noon in honor of the 4th of July. Tuesday, 4th: Happy 4th of July!!! Come join in as we celebrate the Fourth with games and refreshments at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. It will be a blast! Sunday, 9th: Lights of the Valley to perform at 3:00 p.m. in the Dining Room.. Saturday, 15th: Entertainment at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Wednesday, 19th: Hymn Sing with Pastor Johns at 6:30 p.m. in the Solarium. Thursday, 27th: Cookout to be held at 12:00 Noon on the 1st floor patio. Saturday, 29th: July Birthday Party to be r held at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. /H| The Staff extends a warm "WELCOME" to the following new residents and their families. We hope you will enjoy your stay here with us. PICNIC BOUND Bring out the picnic basket and The jug for lemonade, The salad and the baked beans and The sandwiches are made. Be sure to pack the tablecloth, The knives and forks and spoons; And bring the ukulele for Those after dinner tunes. The cake is nearly frosted and Will soon be set to go; Bring up two jars of pickles from The cellar shelves below. Let's not forget to pack the plates And cups we'll surely need, And bring some magazines along, Someone may want to read. The car is nearly loaded and We'll soon be on our way To picnic fun along the lake, This glorious summer day. NEW MEMORIAL GARDEN AT BETHLEN HOME On Monday, April 24, a garden near the upper level terrace was dedicated in loving memory of Bethlen Home residents who have been called Home by God. Family members, residents and staff alike took part in the dedication ceremony, which was preceded by a worship service in the chapel. All are invited to come and see the Memorial Garden; perhaps even sit by it and reflect for a time. Donations for flowers and upkeep are being accepted by the Bethlen Home and can be given in honor or memory of a loved one. The worship service during which we remember loved ones who have passed away will be held twice a year from now on. The next service will be at the beginning of Advent.
