^ctxbxt^ P^ígljíígljts UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS During the Holiday Season, the following programs are going to be held, along with the regularly scheduled programs. Residents and families will be able to review the weekly events posted on the bulletin boards located near each Nursing Station and Activity Room. Schedule in newsletter is subject to change, due to scheduling of programs being done several months in advance. DECEMBER HIGHLIGHTS Tuesday, 1st to 3rd: The Activity Staff will be decorating the home for the holi­days. Residents are encouraged to deco­rate their rooms also. Activity Staff and Volunteers will be made available to help you decorate, if needed. Remember...live trees are not permitted along with stringing of lights across room, etc. Extension cords are not permit­ted. Any family member having any questions on decorating should contact Social Service or Activi­ties Department. Thursday, 3rd: Kick off the Holiday Season with the VFW this evening at 6:30 p.m. This will be their an­nual Christmas party, and don't be surprised if Santa stops by!! Monday, 7th to the 9th: Santa Workshop Days...any resident requiring assistance with decorating, holiday shopping, gift wrap­ping, addressing cards, etc. will be helped during these three days. Cards and wrap are available for use. Anyone mailing pack­ages out should have them mailed during these days. Thursday, 10th: Holiday Luncheon outing will be held, weather permitting. Ligonier Baptist Hymn Sing will also be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, 11th: Holiday Bake Sale for staff and residents will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Solarium...a variety of gift giving items will be available, such as candies, pump­kin rolls, etc. Homemade soup and sandwiches will be available for lunches. Proceeds to ben­efit the Resident Activity Fund. Friday, 18th: Holiday entertainment will be provided by Cliff Spratt at 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Saturday, 19th: Holiday Open House for residents and families from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Din­ing Room. Monday, 21st: The Living Nativity and Bethlen Home Bell Ringers will be presented this afternoon at 1:45 p.m. in the Dining Room. Staff and residents are welcome to attend. Tuesday, 22nd: Resident Secret Pal and Gift Ex­change Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Solarium. Wednesday, 23rd: Resident Christmas Party will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Entertainment will be the "Stuffed with Love Puppet Show". Thursday, 24th: Christmas Eve - Distribution of Holiday gifts. Friday, 25th: Merry Christmas everyone!!! Saturday, 26th: Show and Tell at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. Everyone should bring their favorite Christ­mas gift. Tuesday, 29th: Weather permitting, an outing is scheduled for dinner and a drive to see the Christmas lights of the local area homes and Ligonier Dia­mond. Wednesday, 30th: December Birthday Party at 2:00 p.m. in the Solarium. Family and friends welcome. Sunday, 13th: Lights of the Valley will perform their holiday program at 3:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Wednesday, 16th: Holiday Hymn Sing with Pastor Johns at 6:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Thursday, 17th: "Breakfast with Santa" when residents will enjoy having breakfast with Old Saint Nick himself from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Thursday, 31st: New Year's Eve Party!!! at 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Room.
