(Üjuaítig ^ssuran« letter ßy Diane Walton, Executive Secretary The next Quality Assurance quarterly meeting will be held in early May. In review of the last six months, there were over 30 Suggestion/Comment forms received in the "Suggestion Box". The suggestion/comments were referred to the appropriate Department Heads. Most were resolved, with follow-up letters sent. The air conditioning was installed in the Dining Room, hopefully, with excellent results during the summer months. Some involved safety issues, while others were related to dietary issues, and others were referred to the Planning Committee for future development. Overall, the process has been encouraging. In February, the Department of Health inspected or surveyed our facility to make sure the standards of the State and Federal government are being met. It is good to know, that, after five days of intense scrutinizing, there were no deficiencies to be corrected. That speaks well of every employee at the Home, the contracted physical therapy group, In-Sync, and all that are involved in the loving, compassionate care we provide to our Residents. When the "Oscar" is received by a deserving "star", they go on and on trying to thank those who have helped them along the way. Our greatest thanks and praise goes to God for His loving guidance, for without it, there would be no purpose. It is difficult to thank everyone individually, as we are 128 employees strong, with Department Heads, Administrative Personnel, Dietary, Housekeeping, Laundry, RN's, LPN's, Social Service, Maintenance, Activity Department, Volunteers and all who care, including family members. A day of appreciation was held in April, with lunch provided for everyone. A short appreciation letter was sent in each paycheck, and the sign still hangs in the center hallway on the first and second floor. We continue to have monthly safety committee meetings that resolve many safety issues and are helpful in the ongoing process of providing a clean, safe environment to work in. If you have any concerns or comments, please feel free to stop in, fill out one of the suggestion forms, and place it in the box located at the first floor nurses' station on the glass showcase. Thanks for all your help, and, by working together, we can continue the more than 80 year tradition.
