^cttfïtiç Ptgí|ítgl]t0 LIGHTS OF THE VALLEY The Lights of the Valley are scheduled regularly each month on the second Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Dining Room. The group is non-denominational and are members of various local churches in our community. The choir is directed by Marge Elliott who also plays the piano, and you may also recognize one of our nurses, Nancy Dull who sings in the choir. Each month a different minister from the community will assist with the program and deliver a message. We hope you will come out and join in. Many "Thanks" to the Lights of the Valley members for taking time out of their busy schedules to come to our home. They prepare such wonderful programs of song each month. NEW CHANGES - ATTENTION FAMILIES WE HAVE MOVED!!! Melinda Pletcher (Medical Records and Admissions) and Pat Armel (Social Services) are now located on the 2nd floor North Wing near the Nursing Station. The office is open between 8 - 5. The Nursing Office is now near the Activity Room across from the Physical Therapy Room. When the month of June rolls around, naturally everyone thinks of the starting of Summer and the celebration of Father's Day. The following poem is dedicated to our male residents at Bethlen Home who will be celebrating with their families this year. A TRIBUTE TO FATHER A father is a guiding light Sent to us from above. He listens to our sorrows And soothes them with his love. A father is a teacher Whose place no one could take, For he's the source from which We learn to think and navigate. A father is a gift from God From which we learn to be Patient, strong and loving, Filled with integrity. COOKOUTS SOON TO START One of the most enjoyed activities held during the summer are the cookouts. Everyone gets a chance to get some fresh air and be together with their family and friends if they happen to be here visiting the day of the cookout. Among some of the selections this summer will be BBQ ribs, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and steak. If you're hungry for a certain picnic item and you would like us to serve it, please tell someone in the Activity Department. During some of the picnics entertainment will also be provided. We're looking forward to being together in the great outdoors. IN HONOR OF FATHER S DAY During the week of Father's Day the Activity Staff will be honoring the fellas with a few selected activities. One will be a male only outing ... no fellas, we're not going to a strip bar!! Details will be announced closer to the time. So guys, watch for the weekly schedules in June for your special celebration. ßittvbxtt From the desk of Pat Armel, Social Service: There will be a Family Support Group Get-Together on Friday, June 21,1996 at 2:00 p.m. This is a time for sharing and getting acquainted.
