JVcttïntîi During the next several months, special programs will be held along with the regularly scheduled programs. The following highlights will be held during the months of MARCH, APRIL and MAY. We hope you will enjoy the events scheduled. Details will be posted on the bulletin boards located by each nursing station. MARCH HIGHLIGHTS: Friday, March 12th, we will be honoring our famous “WOMEN OF HISTORY” with a discussion held at 2 p.m. in the Solarium. Saturday, March 13th, a Saint Patrick’s Day Bingo and Pizza Party will be held starting at 2 p.m. in the Dining Room. Monday, March 15th is HUNGARIAN REVOLUTION DAY. In honor of our Hungarian residents, a church service will be held by Rev. Posta starting at 11 a.m. This will be followed by a luncheon at noon in the Dining Room. Following lunch, a Hungarian film will be shown in the Activity Room at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 17th is SAINT PATRICK’S DAY. A party will be held in the Dining Room starting at 1:30 p.m. with refreshments and entertainment provided by The Gene Peterson Band. Thursday, March 18th, an Irish Luncheon will be held for several residents. This will be starting at noon in the Solarium. A traditional Irish meal will be served. Friday, March 19th, the Birthday Party will beheldat2 p.m. in the Solarium. Family members of residents celebrating their birthdays during the month of March are welcome to attend. Bethlen Home’s SPRING CRAFT SHOW will be held on Friday, March 26th and Saturday the 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The show will be held in the Solarium. APRIL HIGHLIGHTS: Friday, April 2nd, JOYCE CLOTHING WAGON will be here from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The company is from Johnstown, PA, and they carry specialized and regular clothing for the nursing home resident. Family members are welcome to attend. Saturday, April 3rd, Easter Bingo will be held by^fgl^ Nellie, starting at 2 p.m. in the Dining Room. mm Monday, April 5th, the film “THE EASTER STORY” will be shown starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Activity Room in honor of HOLY WEEK. 1 Wednesday, April 7th, the EASTER PARTY will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Room. Entertainment will be provided by RIGGY and LAVELLA. Refreshments will also be served. Thursday, April 8th, Easter Egg Coloring will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Activity Room. Friday, April 9th is GOOD FRIDAY, A combined church service will be held by Rev. Posta starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Solarium, with details to be posted. Saturday, April 10th, starting at 1:30 p.m., our annual EASTER EGG HUNT will be held. Weather permitting, it will be held outdoors. If the weather is bad, it will beheld indoors. Refreshments will be served following the hunt, along with Bingo. This will be a fun afternoon for all. Special prizes will also be awarded and hidden on the trail!!! Sunday, April 11th, “HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE”! A combined church service will be held by Rev. Posta starting at 11 a.m. in the Solarium, with details to be posted. April 18th to the 24th is NATIONAL VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION WEEK. So, residents, when you see a volunteer during this week, let them know how much their visits mean to you. Thursday, April 22nd, the VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION AND AWARD LUNCHEON will be held starting at 12 noon in the Dining Room. Thursday, April 29th, the monthly Birthday Party will be held starting at 2 p.m. in the Solarium. Family members are welcome. Friday, April 30th, Wardrobe Clothing Wagon will be visiting the facility with their Spring and Summer selections from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are welcome to attend. MAY HIGHLIGHTS: Friday, May 7th, the first MOTHER AND DAUGHTER TEA will be held in the Dining Room from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Lady residents are encouraged to attend along with their loved one. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Come and join in on the fun anytime from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 9th, “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY”. Friday, May 14th, residents are encouraged to share theirspecial photoson “SHAREYOUR PHOTO DAY” at 1:30 p.m. in the Solarium. So, residents, start digging out those favorite stories and photos. NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK is held during the week of May 16th to the 22nd. Starting Sunday, the 16th, the residents will be taking a trip to MEXICO. Activity programs will be geared to Mexican style along with highlighted events for the week. Watch the bulletin boards for details. Monday, May 17th, a travel film of Mexico will be shown in the Activity Room starting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18th, a traditional MEXICAN DINNER will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Solarium.
