ílesíijent £ Staff ^wfiles By: Resident Susan War go Resident Susan Wargo recently came up with the suggestion of having a column of profiles for the new admissions and new employees. Listed below are several profiles done by Susan. We hope you will enjoy them. Employee -Reverend Joseph Posta Reverend Posta was bom and raised in Transylvania which is known today as Romania, a land of violence. He is married with two children. They are also Hungarian descendants. All speak the Hungarian language but primarily speak English. He is fond of a variety of Hungarian dishes. As hobbies he loves ancient history especially Historical Linguistics. In his free time he likes to work with aquariums and exotic fishes. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1982. It was very hard for them to adjust at first, but they love this country and are United States Citizens. One of his greatest accomplishments was being an author of several Historical books which were printed in the Hungarian language in Hungary. He has also translated a book from German into Hungarian. He is presently writing the History of the Hungarian Reformed Church for the Christian Observer which is located in Virginia. Reverend Posta recently started at the Bethlen Home as the Chaplin. He and his family moved from Michigan. We hope you will enjoy Ligonier and your new position at Bethlen Home. Employee - Pat Armel Pat was bom and raised in the Pleasant Unity area. She is married with one son. They reside on a farm in New Florence, Pa. She went to an all girls boarding school on the North Side of Pittsburgh. She then attended LaRoche College. Many people would be surprised to leam that Pat is a former nun. She taught school for 13 years and then married. She and her husband Wayne are celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary. She enjoys seafood along with doing crafts and gardening. She would like to become a computer wiz due to the family's recent purchase of a computer. She also enjoys a variety of sports and loves pets. Resident - Marie Seiling Marie is a former homemaker. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh on the Southside. She married at the age of eighteen and has one son and two grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies are sewing, dress making and crocheting. She was also very active in the community and belonged to several community groups such as the V.F.W. where she served as president for two years for the Womens Auxiliary. Marie says she has no favorite foods but is proud to say she is a good cook. Welcome to Bethlen Home Marie, we hope you wiH enjoy your stay with us. Resident - Ethel Kozenko Ethel was bom and raised in the Ligonier Valley where her parents were farmers. Ethel always seemed to have work to do on the farm. She helped to raise chickens, cows, pigs and butcher. She also helped with the cooking and the canning. Several of her hobbies are making rag mgs and quilts. She also was very talented in the area of making her own clothes. Ethel was married four times and raised twelve children. Three of her husbands are deceased. Some of Ethel's favorite foods are chicken and BLT sandwiches. A special welcome to you Ethel, we hope you will enjoy your stay here at Bethlen Home. Employee - Jane Eicher Jane is married with four children. She has two boys and two girls. She is a graduate of Westmoreland Hospital of Nursing and Indiana University. She holds a Registered Nursing Degree along with a Bachelor of Science. She was bom and raised in the Ligonier Valley area and currently resides in New Florence, Pa. Some of Jane's favorite hobbies are crafts, cross stitching, crocheting, etc. She is also the former owner of J. and J. Video in Seward, Pa. She enjoys being in nursing education and likes to watch Jeopardy and challenge herself. Her worst pet peeve is people that talk behind her back. The most surprising thing that people refuse to believe is that she is related to Scott, our maintenance man. Jane has been an employee of Bethlen Home for over 11 years. She recently stepped into the job position of Director of Nursing. She is doing a great job and everyone wishes her the best.
