•M W «13«? Gft Jeff and Julia DeSantes, members of HRFA (Branch 151), just completed their fourth annual Christian Basketball Camp. They had 92 campers involved in this year's camp which was held at Mars Alliance Church in Mars, Pennsylvania. The camp was an all-day camp for grades 1st - 7th. The camp is an instructional basketball camp which incorporated learning the fundamentals of basketball in addition to learning Biblical principles (scripture reading). Each day, the campers would go through specific drills to enhance their basketball skills. In addition to the physical training, devotions and scripture learning were taught each day during the half-way point. We had a total of 25 coaches and camp counselors work at the camp and out of the 25 coaches, 11 of them were members of branch 151. The camp was very successful, and at the end of the camp, each camper received a ball, water bottle, t-shirt and a poster. Peggy Fabri, Branch Manager Branch 20 - Trenton, NJ: We completed 67 boxes this year. Last year, it was only 53. Although fewer people donated items for the boxes, leaving only a few people buying things, we managed to collect enough to nicely fill the boxes. This year, we used all plastic boxes, totally eliminating the need to wrap boxes. Today, we had 8 people filling the boxes. The tote bags we made not only helped to fill the boxes but also eliminated the need for tissue paper lining. Altogether, more than 25 people helped with making the tote bags, so our participation level was still fairly high. Whether they are refugees of civil war, survivors of a natural disaster, or victims of extreme poverty, these little ones need to know that they are precious to God. This project enables caring people to share God's love with hurting girls and boys in the far comers of the Globe and even in the United States where circumstances are desperate. The Operation Christmas child is a simple way to show the love of God. Our church family took part in this unique mission project. As you pack your shoe box, pray for the boy or girl who will receive it as a wonderful way to introduce them to the love of Christ. Doing this project has taught our children to reach out to others and share the Christmas Joy We were able to receive 197 boxes this year with the help of our church and friends. Thank you We are changing the world one box at a time with the love of Christ. Peggy Fabri, Branch Manager Branch 227 - Warren, OH: We delivered 29 boxes to our drop-off location this year. We worked throughout the months of September-October-November on filling up the boxes.
