I have been a justice since Fall 2005 and it has been a very rewarding experience. Not only have I met many fun and interesting people, but it has given me a chance to contribute to the campus community. 1 am currently anxiously looking forward to spending a semester abroad. I am working with a study abroad advisor and my Chinese teacher to choose classes which will fit with my language program. When I return from my semester abroad, I will finish the last of my major requirements and graduate after the Spring 2007 term.” (Amanda was recommended by Branch Manager Margaret Saltzer) Ashlee Farkas, member of Branch 151: “Hello, my name is Ashlee Farkas. I am a sophomore at the Rochester Institute of Technology (R1T), where I am working on a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I really enjoy going to school here and studying a subject that I am really interested in-biology. RIT is a great school, and I am very thankful that my parents and grandparents are willing and able to make sacrifices to send me here. After I earn my degree, I hope to continue my education, either by attending graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in the biological sciences (to teach post-secondary education) or by entering medical school-I haven't decided. Whether I go into education or medicine, I still have a long way to go. I would like to thank the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for their financial aid. The expenses of post-secondary education are very large (and ever increasing), and HRFA's student aid program is a great way to help students fund their education. Thank you for your generous aid.” (Ashlee was recommended by Joseph & Peggy Fabri) Lilla Lajos, member of Branch 259: “My name is Lilla Lajos. I am a 21 year old student at the College of Nyíregyháza, in Hungary. I am an English/Management major. I like learning languages and knowing more about other cultures and nations. My intention is to learn abroad at a university. 1 like reading, listening to music and horseback riding.” (Lilia was recommended by Branch Manager Margaret Saltzer) Erica Lynne Morgan, member of Branch 245: “My name is Erica Morgan. I am in my sophomore year at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and I am majoring in Psychology. During my high school years, 1 accomplished a great number of feats that I take pride in acknowledging. Some of these include: earning the Gold Award in Girl Scouts, of which I was a member for 13 years; tutoring at the local YMCA and Family Resource Center; as well as being named to the Who's Who Among American High School Students for three consecutive years. Now in college, I have maintained excellent performance by keeping a cumulative 3.5 GPA and being on the Dean's List every semester. I have also been named to the National Dean's List two consecutive years. I am currently tutoring junior high-age children through a work study job at a local church and I am a new member of Sigma Alpha Pi, a leadership organization. All the while, I maintain a part- time job on the weekends. I would like to thank the Hungarian Reformed Federation for their generosity.” (Erica was recommended by Joseph & Maria Berei) Jared Slovan, member of Branch 22: "1 am currently enrolled in my third year at Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine, located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. My wife and I moved from Arizona, where both of our families live, so that I could attend Nova Southeastern. My wife works two jobs as a physical therapist to support us, as I am unable to work secondary to the school case load that is required, which is in excess of 30 credit hours per semester. I am currently the president of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity where I have organized and participated in various community service activities which help to better the Ft. Lauderdale area. I look forward to graduating dental school, purchasing a dental practice, and helping people achieve and maintain excellent oral health throughout their lives. I have had an insurance policy with the Hungarian Reformed
