FRATERNITY Page 15 Branch 17 - South Bend, Indiana Branch President László Hunyadi opened the meeting on February 17 at 7:00 P.M. with a prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted as presented. The following officers were elected for 2001: László Hunyadi, President; Enikő Hunyadi, Vice President; Magdolna Hunyadi, Treasurer; and Ilona Marton, Secretary. Refreshments were served and the meeting was ad­journed at 9:15 P.M. Magdolna Hunyadi, Branch Manager 219-233-5285 Branch 20 - Trenton, New Jersey The annual branch meeting was held on February 15, 2001 at 7:45 P.M. Reverend László Ujj offered the prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted. Under old business we reported on last year’s activi­ties: the fundraising dinner-dance for the much-needed reno­vation of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Staten Is­land; the regional meeting; the election of delegates for the Convention; the Join Hands Project; our participation in the Maria Poes picnic and the Festival of Trees. Our plans for this year are: to involve the young people in the Federation; to raise the interest of the Trenton area residents to support the Bethlen Home; and to participate in the Maria Poes picnic. We are soliciting for helpers. Anyone interested in helping, please call Branch Manager Deneice Oroszvary at the number listed below. Officers for 2001 are: Rev. László Ujj, President; and Deneice Oroszvary, Secretary. We closed the meeting at 8:30 P.M. We had a gulyás dinner and pecan sweet rolls for dessert. Deneice Oroszvary, Secretary-Branch Manager 215-493-0656 Branch 22 - Youngstown, Ohio We held our annual meeting on December 17, 2000 and elected the following officers to serve in 2001: Stephen Szabó, President; John L. Morey, Vice President; and Patti Morey, Treasurer and Secretary. Patti Morey, Branch Manager 330-758-2971 Branch 31 - Lorain, Ohio The meeting of Branch 31 was held January 21, 2001 at 2:30 P.M. It was opened with a prayer by President Roberta Aros. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and ac­cepted by the members present. The Secretary-Treasurer reported on the volunteer activities of the branch. Visits are made to members con­fined to their homes, nursing homes and hospitals. Mem­bers take part in fund raisers, food for the needy, church activities and support charitable organizations. Branch members will continue to support the Bethlen Home, its activities and the Student Aid of the HRFA as they did in the past. Natalie Burkiewicz, Rebekka Murrell, Matthew Sosnowski, and Ryan Woodin were recipients of the stu­dent aid scholarship of the HRFA. Officers elected for the year 2001 were: Roberta Aros, President; Teresa Simone, Vice President; Sharon Pennington, Secretary-Treasurer. Members were thanked for their help and support. The meeting was closed with a prayer. The meeting was adjourned at 3:34 P.M. Emma Aros, Branch Manager 440-282-8700 Branch 35 - Detroit, Michigan Last year at Halloween, children of the Sunday School of the American Hungarian Reformed Church of Allen Park visited residents of the Allen Park Nursing Home. Children are such a source of joy to the elderly that I try to take them with me whenever I visit the nursing home. The chil­dren also enjoy helping and being around the elderly.
