Alexander Jalso was the recipient of the 1997 Man of the Year Award presented by the Greater Brownsville area Chamber of Commerce. Reverend Jalso was bom in Hungary and came to the United States in 1957. He was ordained into the Christian ministry in 1958. Presently he serves as interim pastor at Calvin United Presbyterian Church in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, and he is manager of HRFA Branches 126 and 226. We extend our congratulations to Reverend Jalso and his family for a well-deserved recognition. Endre Csornán, National Secretary Youngest member of the Calvin United Presbyterian Church, Brownsville, Pennsylvania, and of Branch 126 of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America is Rowan Alyce Irene Jalso born September 14, 1997 in Morgantown, West Virginia. This little rose bud is the daughter of Alexander and Roxanne Jalso and the grandchild of Rev. & Mrs. Alexander Jalso. God’s richest blessings on Rowan and her family. Rev. Alexander Jalso, Branch Manager BRANCH 134 - GREATER PITTSBURGH Our branch recently sponsored a raffle with proceeds being designated for the Student Aid Fund. We had three items: an afghan made by Olga Damay; a “musical church” made by Barbara Revak, Sr.; a hand painted “St. Stephen’s Crown” plaque also made by Olga Damay. We have an ongoing craft table set up in the social hall of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Duquesne, Pennsylvania.
