Csikesz, Director & Branch Manager Corrine Tabitha Szirka BRANCH 22 - YOUNGSTOWN, OH Meeting of our branch was held on March 19, 1995 at the home of Branch Manager Patricia Morey. Officers elected for 1995 are; Stephen Szabó, President; John K. Morey, Vice President; Patricia M. Morey, Secretary-Treasurer. It was noted by our Director, John K. Morey, that in order to increase the membership, we would like to recruit new agents. If anyone is interested to work for the Federation, he or she should contact Director Morey. Since 1996 will be the 100th anniversary of our Federation, we should start making plans to celebrate this event with activities on local level. Suggestions would be very helpful. Our branch would be glad to help out at any upcoming church activities. Director Morey should be contacted in this matter. Patricia M. Morey, Secretary- Treasurer & Branch Manager BRANCH 35 - DETROIT, MI Our annual meeting was held at the American Hungarian Reformed Church, Allen Park, Michigan, on Sunday, February 5, 1995 at 12:30 P.M. Branch President Amalia Kulcsár opened the meeting, and Rev. Gabor Lassú offered the opening prayer. The President welcomed the 15 members who attended the meeting on a very cold Sunday afternoon. Minutes of the last meeting were read by Secretary Louise Vespremi; motion was made by Branch Manager Ethel Teghze Gerber and Julius Day to accept the minutes as read. Jolán Bolash reported that get-well cards were sent to: Bill Kocsis, Ethel Vig, Paul Kulcsár, Elizabeth Mestaller, Frank Kender and Ethel Teghze-Gerber. Our prayers are with them for a speedy recovery. President Kulcsár thanked Jolán for a job well done. A silent prayer was held for Frank Nagy who passed away. May God grant him eternal rest. Margaret New mentioned that it would be a good idea to try to get new members by promoting the good works of the Federation in the church bulletin. We mailed get-well cards to shut- ins in hospitals or nursing homes and sympathy cards to families of deceased members. The President asked that the election of officers for 1995 take place. The members agreed that the officers elected in 1994 be re-elected, namely Amalia Kulcsár, President; Paul J. Kulcsár, Vice President; Louise Vespremi, Secretary-Treasurer; Ilona Kulcsár, Auditor; Ethel Teghze-Gerber, Branch Manager-Corresponding Secretary. John Herman Rye, Jr.
