FRATERNITY Page 19 This aid will be used to help in the attainment of my undergraduate degree. I would also like to thank Elvira Petry, Manager of Branch 50, for recommending me for this scholarship. I am a graduate of West Seneca East Senior High School and am currently enrolled as a Junior in the Elementary Education program at State University of New York College at Buffalo. While a student at West Seneca East, I was a member of such organizations as Key Club, the Literary Magazine, the Bookstore staff, Peer Tutoring, and President of my school’s SADD (Student Against Drunk Driving) Chapter. Also, during my senior year, I was inducted into the Andastes Chapter of the National Honor Society. Music has always been a big interest of mine. As a result, I played in the school band for nine years; I was a participating member in the orchestra for school productions and a member of the Erie County Fair Marching Band for four years. My goal is to become an Elementary School Teacher. I presently teach a first grade class in religious education at my parish school. I have been a member of the HRFA for most of my life. My father, Paul A. Kovach, has been a member all of his life, and my late grandfather, Imre Kovach, was Branch Manager in the 1930s to early 1950s."
