FRATERNITY Page 19 BRANCH 181 - GRAND RAPIDS, MI Az 1992-es év utolsó összejövetelét a 181-es osztály 1992. december 26-án tartotta meg a Kentwood Veteran Memorial Park Center bérelt helyiségében. Az összejövetel megkezdése előtt Rev. Julius Vígh, Jr., a 181-es osztály elnöke és a Christian Reformed Church lelkésze imádkozott. A 181-es osztály újraválasztott tisztikara: Rev. Julius Vígh, Jr., elnök; Douglas Bell, alelnök; Joan Vígh, titkár. Julius Vígh, Sr., Branch Manager BRANCH 198 - LIGONIER, PA The annual meeting of the branch was held on February 5, 1993. Rev. Paul Kovács opened the meeting and offered the opening prayer. We elected the following officers for 1993: Rev. Paul Kovács, President; Esther Berkey, Vice President; Gloria Mae Owens, Treasurer; Michele Haas, Secretary. Mrs. Margaret Mircse was remembered in prayer. Discussion was held about the dying Christmas trees on the roadside of the Bethlen Home. A $50 memorial donation will be advertized to replace these trees with young ones. Michele Alesi became Mrs. Haas. Her wedding was attended by many of us. Soon there will be information available on a new Hungarian English cookbook, which I consider one of the best at this time. The meeting adjourned at 3:00 P.M. The next meeting is scheduled for June 29, 1993 at 3:00 P.M. in the Bethlen Home’s dining room. Michele Haas, Secretary BRANCH 213 - LOGAN, W.VA At a meeting held on January 10, 1993, the following officers were elected: Charles Balia, President; Charles J. Haydu, Vice President; Agnes Haydu, Treasurer-Secretary. Agnes Haydu, Secretary BRANCH 238 - YOUNGSTOWN, OH Tilly Tatar opened the annual meeting of our branch on January 31, 1993 at 11:00 A.M. Margaret Dubos offered the opening prayer. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted. Margaret Dubos, Treasurer, presented her report, which was accepted and placed on file as read. The Christmas party was held at the Church, and Branch Manager Margaret Dubos donated candy and popcorn balls to the children of the Church. Discussion followed on how to interest our younger generation to procure insurance from the HRFA, and how to hold fund raisers, proceeds of which would be donated to the Student Aid Fund. It was reported that members of our branch attended the St. Vincent De Paul’s Christmas show held at the Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, OH. The results of the election of officers for 1993 are: Tilly Tatar, President; James Hohvart, Vice President; Margaret Dubos, Treasurer-Secretary. For refreshments we had coffee, tea and kalács. The meeting adjourned at 12 noon with the singing of the himnusz. Margaret Dubos, Secretary BRANCH 269 - PERTH AMBOY, NJ The annual meeting of our branch was held on February 21, 1993. Rev.Dr. Francis Vitéz opened the meeting with a prayer at 11:00 A.M. Thanks was expressed to those members who participated in the Sunday School program of the local congregation. The election of 1993 officers followed. Elected were: Rev.Dr. Francis Vitéz, President; Rev. Bela Poznan, Vice President; Mrs. Gizella Lenart, Secretary. Február 14-én, vasárnap rendeztük meg hagyományos disznótoros ebédünket - ezúttal a Camp Olympic farmon, ahol Benedek István és Zsóka házigazdák figyelmes gondossággal készítettek helyet a sok résztvevő számára. Mint minden évben, úgy most is Taba János és Rózsika vendégei voltunk, akik a Taba farmon a család közreműködésével kitűnő disznótoros lakomát készítettek. Az ebéd orjalevessel kezdődött s majd ízletes töltött káposztával, zamatos kolbásszal és hurkával folytatódott. A háziasszonyok pedig sok finom süteménnyel járultak hozzá a lakoma sikeréhez.
