Page 22 TESTVÉRISÉG George G. Simonoff, Member of Branch 22: “I would like to thank you for the scholarship that I have recently received. In today’s world, it is difficult to be successful and it is nice to know that there are those supporting the youth of America. I am currently a senior at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, I will attempt to find employment or even continue with my studies and obtain my Masters Degree. As a student I am involved with several organizations. I am serving as president of Theta Chi Fraternity and also the Byzantine Catholic College Corps. I am also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. I have taken an active role in the Campus 2000 project which is designed to expand the campus and improve the community. As a member of the fraternity, I have taken an interest in philanthropy and have participated in many community service projects which benefit the less fortunate. Once again, I would like to thank you for the scholarship. It is truly an honor to be a recipient of the Student Aid Benefit.” (George, who was recommended by our VP-HRFA, John K. Morey, closes his letter with the following words, “I shall never forget the opportunity the HRFA has given to me to better myself academically. ”) Victoria A. Williams, Member of Branch 152: “I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest gratitude to the HRFA for the generous gift of student aid. It will go a long way in helping with my college expenses. I am grateful to the memory of my deceased aunt, Mary Bota, for her recommendation. Currently, I am attending California University of PA and pursuing a career in finance. After I graduate, I would like to follow a career in financial advising and investing. The HRFA is a wonderful organization. Recently my aunt, Mary Bota, passed away. The HRFA decided to give a gift to the Student Aid in her name as a memorial. This aid has been a great help to me and I’m sure she would be happy to know that she will be remembered in such a special way. Once again, my deepest thanks to the HRFA for their support and generous contribution.” (Victoria was recommended by the late Branch Manager, Mrs. Mary Bota.)
