FRATERNITY Page 27 Presently, I am 19 years old and a sophmore at Bowling Green State University where I am studying Fashion Merchandising. My senior year I plan to transfer to the Fashion Institute of Technology, which is in New York City. Currently, I am a member of B.G.S.U.'s Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega (National Panhellenic Conference). Our philosophy involves academic interest, the spirit of sisterhood, the opportunity to develop leadership abilities, personal development, and financial responsibility. Our number one philanthropy raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I also find time to be involved in the Fashion Merchandising Association. Once again thank you so much for helping me continue with my education and your generosity is highly appreciated." Tracy was recommended by Ed Szabó, Branch Manager Scott J. JIMISON, Member of Br. 67: "I, like my mother and grandmother before me, am proud to be a member of the HRFA, which promotes activities of those of Hungarian descent in this country. Presently, I am a sophmore at Youngstown State University, where I am majoring in Accounting. I am in my fourth quarter, and was on the Dean's List twice. Some of my activities include baseball card collecting, playing basketball and volleyball, music, and attending professional sporting events. Working full time at the U.S. Can Co., Hubbard, Ohio this past summer enabled me to pay some of my college tuition. I am most grateful to the HRFA for contributing to this end also. Special thanks go to Bill and Helen Szuch (Branch Manager) for recommending me to receive this scholarship award." JOELL LEE NAGY, Member of Br. 202: "The check for student aid from the HRFA is graciously accepted. I will be putting the money to good use as I finish my education at Bethany College in Bethany, WV. During my three and a half years there I've studied elementary education and psychology. Some of my other activities have included being a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity. I am a chaplain and alumnae director this year. Furthermore I work in the Admissions Office helping prospective students learn about Bethany. When the Federation branch was active, it kept me active also. I participated in all that I could. I have especially fond memories of the Christmas parties. They are warm memories dear to my youth. In closing, thank you for the generous check. It will be used to its full potential." Joell was recommended by Mitzi Wigand, Branch Manager. HEATHER LYNN ONDO, Member of Br. 235: "I would like to thank the HRFA for their scholarship award. The scholarship will help pay for my education. I am a sophmore at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My major is Dietetics. I am currently holding a 3.8 grade point average in my major study. I am a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, where I hold the office as Senior Panhellenic Representative. I am also a member of the dietetics club. I work part time at a local retail shop in the Indiana Mall just off campus. This summer I plan to do an undergraduate internship at a local nursing home. My future plans include graduating from IUP with Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and going on for my Registration as a Dietitician. Thank you to Mrs. Arlene Csornán (Branch Manager) for my recommendation." Heather Lynn Ondo Tracy ]anuska Scott J. Jimison
