Page 26 TESTVÉRISÉG Dawn L. Salva I plan to graduate from Trenton State College within two years. I am currently majoring in advertising design, but I am considering other possibilities as well. I am interested in drawing, photography and literature. Thank you again for the student aid money and for your interest in my future plans." Recommended by Branch Manager, Arlene Csornán. MARY JO PATRICK is a member of Branch 158. Her letter to us: "Receiving your generous gift has meant more to me than you can imagine. I would also like to thank Mrs. Irene Sinclair (Branch Manager) for her recommendation. I am currently going into the last semester of my senior year at California University of Pennsylvania where I am studying psychology. I am also a member of the Psychology Club and a charter member of California's branch of Psi Chi (the National Honorary Society for Psychology). After graduation I plan to seek employment in the behavioral science field; possibly in a community mental health clinic or a private treatment center. Once I have become settled in my job, I plan on applying to a graduate program where I will seek a Master's Degree in either clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a target focus on specialized work with children or adolescents. Once again I thank you all for your generosity and I hope that God will bless you for your kindness." DAWN L. SALVA, Member of Branch 31, writes: "It is with great appreciation that I accept your scholarship. As a student at the University of California, Irvine, I am fulfilling my dreams. This scholarship is a part of that. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. At UCI, this means that my life is quite full. Under the direction of Joseph Huszti, a fellow My artwork (pastel chalk), 1987 Hungarian and a brilliant director, I am also quite happy. This past quarter, in addition to academic requirements, I participated in a massive production of Mozart's Magic Flute and also UCI's Madgrigal dinner. Both productions were of the finest quality and great care and time went into their creations. I was honored to be on the Court of the Madrigal Dinner as the top 16 students are selected each year to comprise this highly disciplined chamber ensemble. My private vocal studies are also intense and ever so rewarding. With my teacher, M. Schazenbach, I have learned more about the human voice than I thought possible. It seems as if a whole new direction has opened up for me. The education I am receiving will prepare me with the skills necessary to succeed in today's performance world. This feat is accomplished by few schools. I feel quite privileged to be involved in such a fine program. Although there are no guarantees, particularly in performance, I feel that I will at the minimum, be prepared to deliver what is expected of a professional. I live in Costa Mesa, California, in a beautifully sunny environment. I work as a part-time file clerk. I enjoy both my living and working environments tremendously. My personal hobbies gravitate towards music. I play the piano for pleasure. I have in the past studied classical piano for seven years. I also write poetry which I hope someday to publish. Once again thank you so much for helping me to continue this wonderful education process. Your consideration is greatly appreciated." Recommended by Branch Manager, Emma Aros
