BRANCH 238—Youngstown, OH This 4th of July celebration had a very special meaning for me because as I stood there and watched the Veteran Soldiers parade around the statue of the Veteran Soldiers deceased, I knew that I and my Hungarian Reformed Federation of America had contributed and played a very important part in making this dream come true. I saw all those familiar names of men who gave up their lives to protect our country from foreign aggression. To know that they lost their lives in battle to preserve our freedom which Veterans Memorial no other country has. As the Veterans played "Taps, fired the volley of shots in the air," and saluted our flag of the United States of America, a chill filled my whole body because I could feel their presence so close even though they have been long dead. I could almost see all of them in front of me. Thanks to our loving God for our Freedom from aggression which they made possible by dying for us. May God grant them eternal peace.
