Page 8 TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH LIFE BRANCH 2 - CLEVELAND I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Board Members of the Hungarian Reformed Federation for the check presented to me by Mrs. Lucille Szabó. This Student Aid check was used to help defray the cost of my textbooks. My second year at Yale University is going well, and again, thank you for your consideration and support of higher education. It is an organization like the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America that enables students to partake of the many wonderful opportunities that college has to offer. Stephen J. Marshalko BRANCH 3 and 39 - FAIRPORT HARBOR Annual Meeting, Feb. 15, 1987 Meeting called to order at 3:00 P.M. by Branch Manager Edward Bihary. The opening prayer was given by Rev. Louis Medgyesi, pastor of the Fair- port Harbor Hungarian Reformed Church. As the branch has been inactive, there are no past officers or reports at this time. We then proceeded with the election of officers for 1987. We also decided that we will combine Branches #3 and #39 for the purpose of meetings and social functions, due to the small amount of members at #39. The following were nominated and elected to office: Edward Bihary, president; Elizabeth Medgyesi, vice president; James Varga, treasurer; Elizabeth Ticel, secretary. Members had much discussion on programs for the coming year. We will have a picnic this summer. The date will be either July 12 or 19. A subcommittee will check the availability of the dates with the park and decide on the date. We also made plans for the Christmas Party for the children. We discussed plans for other social functions, but will concentrate on getting the members to become more involved with the branches’ activities. Discussion on the new rates of insurance and branch manager Edward Bihary wanted the Fair- port people to contact the local Agent, Elizabeth Medgyesi. OSZTÁLY ÉLET Ed Bihary thanked all who baked for today’s meeting, especially the excellent Strudel and nut rolls baked by Mrs. Medgyesi.
