Page 8 TESTVÉRISÉG BEQUEST TO BETHLEN HOME 65 years in the life of our Charitable Institution makes us remember those who have given us so much; those who took time to listen, to share, to protect, to love; those who helped us to become who we are, enabling us to accomplish many things in the ministry of our Bethlen Home. Through their caring and sharing in the past we have received many gifts and bequests, large and small. These benevolent dollars made possible, among many other services, the provision of care and support of many elderly men and women whose personal resources have been exhausted. In the past 65 years we have never asked an individual to leave due to their inability to pay for their care. We would like to acknowledge the gifts and identify the contributors. This time with thankful heart we remember the late Mrs. EDITH E. ABARY, who remembered us in her will and left $37,961.71. Her caring and loving heart outlived herself, she became a part in our ministry, like many others, who have helped us. That is why our paths are smoother, our insight to the world keener, for they walked before us and cared. We thank you for remembering us at this time while we celebrate our 65th Anniversary. To remember is our guiding force, while we strive each day to enrich the lives of those we touch. Rev. Paul Kovács NOTE: The Board of Managers decided to set this bequest aside and use it for the sole purpose of erecting a building for our precious Bethlen Archives. May the Spirit of the Lord inspire other souls to follow her example. Then it may be possible to have a ground-breaking ceremony for the new building in the Anniversary Year! For your convenience and consideration to help in our ministry we enclose the wording you may use in your will: “I give and bequeath to the Bethlen Home, a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the sum of .................................. dollars for the general use and purpose of said non-profit corporation in its work. This bequest is given as a living memorial to the memory of: LIGONIERI MOZAIKOK December elején az ólomszürke fellegekben kiszakadt az angyaloknak párnája s hatalmas pely- hekben hullani kezdett a hó, amely rövid idő alatt fehér lepellel takarta be az egész vidéket. Egyik napról a másikra megváltozott minden; a Bethlen Otthon környékén is. Az út szélén őrszemként álló hatalmas fenyőfákat is fehér télikabátokba burkolta a hóesés. Az otthon ablakaiból gondozottjaink mosolyogva figyelték a kicsi nyulacskákat, amint azok játszadozva szökdécseltek a friss hóban, maguk után hagyva pici lábnyomaikat. A levegőben tarka madarak röppentek fáról-fára. A levegő eme vándorai színes tolláikkal még elbűvölőbbé tették a téli táj szépségét. Én úgy érzem, hogy a téli tájat szemlélő gondozottjaink egy részében valószínűleg felvetődött az a gondolat, hogy mennyivel jobb itt bent a meleg szobában, mint kint a hideg télben, s igazán boldog az az ember, aki elmondhatja, hogy az ő élelméről és ruházatáról a szerető szívek mindig gondoskodnak. Hiszem, hogy ezeknek legtöbbje megértette, hogy: „Ne aggodalmaskodjatok a ti életetek felől, mit egyetek és mit igyatok (vagy .. . mibe öltözködjetek . .. (mert) .. . tudja a ti mennyei Atyátok, hogy mindezekre szükségetek van.” Bizony tudja, mert az adventi időszak alatt a United Parcel Post kocsija napjában többször is megfordult az intézet területén, csomagokat hozva a messze távolból, amely csomagokban ott rejtőzött a szülők iránti szeretet is, ami az Ö műve. Magyar egyházaink sem felejtkeztek el a Bethlen Otthon gondozottjairól. Sok egyháztól küldtek (Folytatása a 12. oldalon.) LAPZÁRTAKOR ÉRKEZETT: Vargo E.
