GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Can there be a more outstanding day in a married couple’s life, than a Golden Wedding Day...? By the grace of God my lifecompanion Boske and I have reached and celebrated this special milestone with our immediate family on January 1, 1983. For this grace and great gift, our heartfelt gratitude and praise belong to God the Creator, Provider and Sustainer of our happy marriage...Soli deo Gloria! On golden wedding anniversaries nothing is more enjoyable than receiving love-filled, sincere greetings, congratulations and good wishes from the close family-circle and from that specially respected family of good friends, whom God has given us throughout the 45 years of active ministry and the 50 beautiful years of our married life. This special joy of receiving and welcoming greetings and congratulations was ours in great abundance, for in total we received 158 greeting cards from 29 States of the USA, from 4 Canadian Provinces and from Hungary. With love-inspired ingenuity, our sons Joseph and Stephen, our lovely daughters in law and our five very helpful grandchildren decorated a floor-to-ceiling Christmas tree with your greeting cards, tying them to the branches with golden ribbons... a beautiful sight, a great surprise! We saw not only the happy faces of our children and grandchildren around us, but in our mind’s eye saw a multitude of our friends smiling down on us from the “love and friendship tree” wishing us well. Rereading all the greeting cards, their special remarks such as: “You married us 45 years ago.., you confirmed me in 1932..., baptized our baby in 1938...” etc., will give us many hours of continuous joy. They have already crowded our hearts and minds not only with golden memories from the past but also precious plans for the future. After God we express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our sons, Joseph and Stephen and their wives, Susie and Irene, to our five grandchildren and to all our friends for your kind expressions of love and yes... for your spiritual presence. God’s grace, family and good friends made our Golden Wedding Day a joyous and unforgettable occasion. At our Anniversary Dinner we reaffirmed our old Hungarian-version marriage vows, which meant that we would be willing to start our marriage all over again, treading the same path., but with even more unshakable faith, with assured hope, firmly built, on the greatest foundation — AGAPE‘ selfess love that seeks to give, to forgive, to bless, to heal, to enrich... that never fails! Dear Family and Friends! Come along with us from the golden past, let us walk the roads of the future together with agape-filled hearts as long “as we both”... as long as WE ALL SHALL LIVE...! Affectionately, Joseph and Elizabeth (The Kecskemethys) Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 29,1983 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey for Albert St. Miklossy who for more than 25 years served the Federation.
