Bacho; Branch Manager Albert A. Bacho. Branch 21 held their first meeting for 1983 on January 23rd at Calvin United Church of Christ. Louis Sendi the president called the meeting to order at 10 A.M and asked Rev. Imre Bertalan to lead us in prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted. It was good to see Ethel Molnár at the meeting. She returned after a long illness. Ethel talked about the consolidation between The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and William Penn Association. Then Albert & Mary Bacho reported on the special convention which was held in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on November 27-28, 1982. There were 69 voting members; this was 3 below the 1980 convention. After all the pro and con’s it was voted down to consolidate 35 against 33 for and 1 abstantion. Mary and Ethel mentioned the different things our Branch should do and support. We decided to have our meeting after the 10:45 10 church service and see if we can get more people to attend. As one project we are going to schedule a dinner on a Sunday and the profit will be divided between the scholarship fund and the 80th anniversary of Calvin United Church of Christ. The secretary will check into a date on the church calendar. Ethel suggested we have her brother Steve take pictures of 3 of our members who graduated from the university in December and also a picture of the dance groups. Since there was no other business our meeting was adjourned. . Mary Bacho BRANCH 52 — SOUTH NORWALK, CONN. Those attending eagerly look forward to future trips to Atlantic City. The Branch was pleased to have seven (7) student members receive scholarships from the Student Aid Fund. We announce with great sadness that six members passed away during the year. The members extend their sympathy to the bereaved families. Our Corresponding Secretary, Elizabeth Szocs, sent get-well cards during the year to ailing branch members. Also, in the true spirit of goodwill, she sent cards to friends of the branch who were ill.
