FRATERNITY Page 5 His biography goes back to the very heart of God. The Lord had prepared a plan for him. He recognized that plan and lived it and in doing so, rose to the highest possibilities of a very special ministry. He arrived to the United States in the fall of 1922. Served the Lord and his people in Hungarian Reformed churches in New York City, McKeesport and in Carteret, NJ. He became one of the chief architects of the Free Magyar Reformed Church of America: the first Arch-Dean of his beloved denomination. Following his long service in Carteret (from 1935 to 1957) he was elected to be the Director of our Bethlen Home. The husband and wife team served our charitable institution with wholehearted dedication. As a result of his effective work, a new wing was added to the Home, thus, 80 elderly members of our household of faith were accommodated. Through his efforts, the Bethlen Press, the only Hungarian Reformed Printshop and Publishing House in the free world, was built. Bethlen Home became the center of the Hungarian Reformed people in the diaspora and through personal cor- respondance, articles appearing in periodicals, the Bethlen Calendar and personal visits, he held together thousands of the scattered members of our faith throughout the world. Sándor Daroczy, the powerful preacher, faithful pastor, successful administrator now rests from his labor. Funeral services were held in Bridgeport, CT with the participation of Bishop Janos Butosi, Dr. Louis Hutton, his son-in-law, Dean Gabor Csordás and Rev. Zoltán Király. He was laid to rest in the Li- gonier cemetery with the services at the graveside conducted by Rev. Paul Kovács and Rev. Miklós Novak. While serving his Hungarian American church community he met many individual needs. Many of us, young student ministers, arriving into the new and strange land received our first inspiration and guidance from a fatherly friend who helped us by sharing with us not only the hospitality of his heart, but also his experience, his vision and his love for his people. We share in the deep sorrow of Irenke Neni, Iren- ke, Karcsi and their families, entrusting them to the comforting Grace of God.
